We wanted someone to look at our roof after a recent storm, and Ridgeline was recommended. We called and Michael said he could come the next day to take a look. So I changed my schedule so I could work from home, and he called my husband and said he would be here in 20 mins. 1.5 hours later, my husband called to see what was happening (I had to move some calls so I could go out when he got here) and he said he got pulled in another direction. He said he would be out at 2PM. At 1:30 he called and said he drove by our house and he couldn't access because his ladder was too short/his drone was out of batteries. I doubt if he actually came by, because he was in our neighborhood the previous day looking at our neighbors house, so he knew the general height of the houses. Alright, so he said he would come the next day. Neither of us were able to stay home (which we told him) but when we texted at 5PM he said he wasn't able to stop by. Guess they didn't want our business! Oh well!

The representative we communicated with told us times that were not accurate. There were interruptions during the process, and then reasons were given that had nothing to do with us or the integrity of the business. There has even been things after the fact that the representative said he would do that has not been done yet. So I know you may be reading this and think it is a horrible review. It is definitely not, but as a fellow business owner, I know how important communication and integrity is. So beyond that, this is a great company. I think the overall value was good as well.

The company was eventually contacted after a hail storm in my area. They indicated that the roof…read moreneeded to be replaced and my insurance company agreed. We were adamant during our discussions with the owner Mike Parlier and sales representative Hayden Stewart the requirements for licensure with the Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board and with permitting from the city in which we both reside in. The contract stipulated the permit requirement. After multiple delays due to weather and the business owner scheduling the roof was installed on June 26th. Throughout the process, we had been informed that the roof would require a two day installation, however it was installed in one long day with less than an hour on the second day. We requested a copy of the required permit, since one had not been previously provided and we received multiple excuses as to why it could not be provided. Ultimately, we learned that this company is not licensed by the State of Alabama (requirement for roofers), and that the necessary roofing permits were not pulled for our property. We are a requesting a full refund, since the work performed was not permitted. It is extremely upsetting that these individuals sat in our home and presented themselves as reputable contractors. Mr. Parlier even made jokes about "taillight roofers" (roofers that once their tail lights disappear, so do they). However, it appears that Alabama Roofing Professionals/American Roofing Professionals are deploying some of the same tactics. Hopefully, this will encourage the business owner to do the right thing and refund our monies that have been paid to them.
