Excellent experience today getting my first mountain bike in over a year after losing 2 bikes due to flooding by Helene. We checked out several other local shops that mostly had only TREK bikes which I was NOT interested in--specifically was looking for a Specialized Rockhopper and Revolutions had one in stock at a great price. So smooth. Nothing like a new bike. Knowledgeable staff that gave us some info on local riding areas and bike groups which is great since we're still new here. Very nice little local bike shop! Brought two bikes in for service and a bike fit. The staff were very honest, knowledgeable and professional. It made me really happy appreciating that they weren't going to replace parts or upcharge for things you don't need. The shop also encourages exploring the local cycling clubs around the area and even host rides of their own! I was in the market for a new gravel/hybrid bike and found what I thought I wanted online. I ordered it from Revolutions even thought they were 90 minutes from home. I changed my mind midstream on the color and Ginger was very gracious and ordered a second bike in the new color. She asked me to please come down and ride one before she ordered the new just to make sure it was a good fit for me. I'm so glad I did! I had a tune-up done on my 20 year old Trek mountain bike and also new tires put on. It needed an adjustment after I got it home and wrote it, and they quickly adjusted the derailleur so that everything was shifting smoothly and I was good to go. I stopped by Revolutions, because my brother and I had defective bikes (after not using them for years whoops) and we weren't sure why. We brought them in, and our bikes were quickly diagnosed with their respective issues within two minutes. The gentleman working said that both of our bikes had some tire issues (...I'm not familiar with bike jargon so I can't say anything more specific than this...), gave us a very reasonable price quote, and told us to come back in 15(!!!) minutes. So... after 15 minutes, we returned to see our bikes completely restored, shiny, and full of air. Apparently, the gentleman was wrong about my bike having issues, but nonetheless gave it a touch up for free, along with changing out my brother's tire/valve/..something. Thanks to his honesty, we were only charged for one bike instead of two--and we got to experience wonderful, quick service! We browsed the store and saw that many of the items on the walls (water bottles, bike locks, etc.) were fairly expensive. However, I would certainly recommend Revolutions to anyone in Melbourne looking to fix their bike quickly and cheaply! read more

So I was/am leaving the country and my main mode of transportation is going to be my bike. I brought it to the guy that runs this place and he was so incredibly helpful and nice. Gave my bike a complete check up and fine tuned some spots. I could have hugged him. He was so nice and genuine and was so patient with me as I blubbered out questions about how to handle and maintain my bike. He also pointed out a few things I hadn't considered. I've been around and ridden/been around semi to high end bikes and professional bikers/bike mechanics for about 25 years. Don't go anywhere else, these guys know what they are doing. If you want to read the explanation: I've relocated here about a year and a half ago and though I don't have a "top of the line" bike, it's nice enough that I don't want some joe schmo working on it and I trust issues. After asking everyone I knew....eh, long story short: don't think about taking your bike anywhere else, I've seen the bikes they work on, which are top of the line, and if that many people trust them with their tour de France-esce bikes, then I can too. They are great, they didn't have the part I needed, and without hesitation said if I can find it, buy it and they'll install it. They didn't try to upsell me on parts or talk me into buying a new part as my existing parts were worn, but not desperate yet. read more

Horrible Service! Horrible Quality! Horrible Customer Interaction. They ruined a 12 year old cycling computer which worked fine on my bike by ripping out a wire by yanking it out of a rear wheel sensor when removing the rear wheel. It is obvious, they ripped the wire when they hooked the rear gears on the wire. Not annotated on the receipt or told prior to pick up. I understand sometime these things happen by they showed no remorse or offer of credit towards a new computer...owners only response, 'Didn't he tell you when he left the message that your bike was ready?' I double checked and he did not. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE! read more

I live 30 miles away from this shop, but they are an authorized Specialized bikes dealer. My Crosstrail Disc (purchased 10/2014) has been making a strange creaking noise since it was new. 2 tuneups and 5 shops later it was still making the noise. The bike functioned ok but the noise was annoying and worrisome. Before leaving for vacation, I took the bike to John at this shop and he worked diligently to troubleshoot the problem. It took a couple visits but I think its finally fixed. John was nice enough to show me what he did, so I can make adjustments if need be. Thank you John!
