The instructor provided a detailed handout how you do everything, and she was very patient with the class. Later, on my own, I ordered a marble mosaics art kit from Italy, using the skills that I learned from the two classes. Later on, I took two embroidery classes from a different teacher. The two classes had beginner students, and students had some skills. The teacher was very, very understanding with my limited skills. I particularly love to do embroidery. I found a new hobby! If I had time, I would take a class from each of these instructors again.

We had a blast!! Initially, the two men that came with my group later expressed that they didn't want to come to a painting event, but admitted afterwards that they had the best time. If you could watch and learn you could turn out a pretty decent painting (although my husband's is awesome!) I went my own way when they mentioned you could do your own thing, because I just didn't want the same two paintings in our house. They not only had several wines, they also had several craft beers and sodas. Best of, this one had ladies of the Moose Lodge participants, so everyone was required to bring snacks so we had a ton of finger foods. They also had a roaming artist who gave tips and encouragement. My painting is the trees.

Such a delightful place to shop!…read more Tucked into the sweet artsy Bellefonte neighborhood is this small but very active artist cooperative store. The shop represents a large variety of local artists, allowing them space within the shop, putting together street fairs and classes when these things are possible, and with online newsletters and social media presence. I was introduced to Bellefonte Arts by a friend who exhibits her handmade bears in the shop. Thanks to her I've now made multiple trips to the store, always finding something wonderful and unexpected, just what I hope to find when exploring a shop filled with the works of different artists. Upon stepping ONE FOOT into this facility with food alternatives for this child, I was SCOLDED, insulted and spoken to in a completely unprofessional manner IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN. The facility could not have inside the alternatives I brought (who knows why) and the child was immediately embarrassed, ashamed and wanted to leave. The overall tone of this party was not one I'd expect when teaching a class of 18 6/7 year olds. Although the owner did apologize once the party was almost finished, I highly do NOT recommend. The two stars are for the way the class ran which was fairly smooth and the party options like karaoke and the Photo Booth. What a shame.
