Great value and good location. More of an RV and cabin than tent site, but overall value was good…read more Close to stores, restaurants, etc. Disappointed to see the staff not wearing masks during covid. The bathrooms are cleaned daily at 2pm. During busy season, they should be cleaned twice. There are very few tent sites here. Of those that exist, several are dead center and offer no shade There is a great play area for kids with a pool, trampoline, etc. fire pits are at every site as well as a picnic table. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They answered all of my questions and gave tips about Yellowstone. The store was well stocked. If I ever need to stay in Cody again, I'd stay here.

You're better off skipping this KOA, we've been going to RV parks for 30 years. There's so many…read morethings wrong with this park: 1: Upon arrival we were assigned a spot that was too small. We have a 25 ft travel trailer and we used the KOA website to book our stay. The girl working in the check I'm desk gave me a tongue lashing for not providing accurate information. She was unaware that a travel trailer would have a truck to tow it. We were pushed and had to wait 1.5 to get a new site. 2: They only have 6 toilet/shower for each gender. However, they have about many cabins that don't have bathroom and numerous tent camping site. Because of the large volume of use, the toilets were backed up. Showers have long waits. 3: The pool does have a code and the locals take over the pool/jacuzzi in the evening and the paying campers have difficulty using them. 4: No security to enforce any rules. 5: If you're going to Yellowstone, you're over an hour from the park. 6: Don't bite on the car that drives around promoting the local rodeo. It's not a rodeo, it's just local kids. It appeared they were practicing at your expense.

Starting off the check in staff was not extremely friendly - she (owner?) did give me some…read moreinformation about local events going on but bickered with the man (husband maybe?) when I had asked about the free shuttle to one of the events. We pulled into our spot and the road noise was loud, we looked around and there were a lot of empty spots. I looked online and there were quite a few spots empty in the park so we called and asked if we could switch to another spot further away from the road, the lady seemed annoyed and said she would see what she had available. We told her that we looked online at available spaces to switch to and she told us none of those were available. We switched to a spot that was actually in one of the pictures on yelp and it did not look like the picture at all. Dead grass and weeds. They said they were trying to grow back grass but it was all dry, had dirt spots and the spots are so close together that there isn't really much other room to sit with chairs because they don't want a lot on the grass. The picnic tables are literally so dry and old that the wood is splintering and the paint is peeling off, they also look like they are going to fall apart. Not to mention you are literally on top of the other trailer next to you. Some care and money needs to be put into this campground to make major improvements. Spots are small and squished together and the way they have you park your vehicle is odd. We consistently smelled sewage and it was not from our trailer because when we switched campgrounds the smell was gone. Maybe they have sewage issues because we could smell it walking around the park and to throw garbage away. Also they do warn that the sprinklers run at night but it sprayed more of our trailer than the grass and left hard water spots all over the side. The mens bathroom had one toilet and one urinal for the entire park to use (I never went to the women's). Funny thing is that nobody ever did end up staying in any of the spots we asked about moving to. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone unless desperate. It is run down and not taken care of well. I would recommend stay at the KOA down the street- we moved to stay for one night there and it was night and day difference!

Don't let what you see from the road fool you. We've driven by Perry's many times over the years…read morethinking that all you see from the road is what is available. Go check it out! They have a whole bunch of campsites behind the office that are in a wooded area along the Rock Creek. And I am serious when I say along the creek.... they are right ON the creek. It's so much nicer than any other RV park we've been too. It's so nice and wooded. There is room between sites. Most places are like parking in a parking lot. The upper area by the road is more like that. But if your rig fits, and there have been some bigs one in here, I'd recommend going into the creek side area. There are also tent only sites as well as Tee-Pees. We decided to stay here because my hubby needed to fly out of town for a few days. We wanted somewhere that we didn't need to worry about my safety. I have no qualms about being here alone at all! It is a very safe place! It's very quiet at night and most of the folks go out adventuring during the day. So the daytime is quiet as well. The bathrooms are clean, the water is HOT and the water pressure is wonderful for those of us who like it like that. And really, who doesn't?! The place is owned by a very nice couple! They are only open during the summer months. If you are going to Red Lodge or traveling over the Beartooth Pass, this is a great place to spend a night. Or spend more time and enjoy some hiking in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. P.S. they are dog friendly too.

Negative: the sites are EXTREMELY close together, especially on the lower level along the river. Expect to be looking into your neighbor's living room. No sewer as campground flooded several years ago (apparently creating environmental issues), so you'll need to dump often if there for more than a couple of days. And if you're not an animal lover, this isn't the place for you.
