Don't let what you see from the road fool you. We've driven by Perry's many times over the years thinking that all you see from the road is what is available. Go check it out! They have a whole bunch of campsites behind the office that are in a wooded area along the Rock Creek. And I am serious when I say along the creek.... they are right ON the creek. It's so much nicer than any other RV park we've been too. It's so nice and wooded. There is room between sites. Most places are like parking in a parking lot. The upper area by the road is more like that. But if your rig fits, and there have been some bigs one in here, I'd recommend going into the creek side area. There are also tent only sites as well as Tee-Pees. We decided to stay here because my hubby needed to fly out of town for a few days. We wanted somewhere that we didn't need to worry about my safety. I have no qualms about being here alone at all! It is a very safe place! It's very quiet at night and most of the folks go out adventuring during the day. So the daytime is quiet as well. The bathrooms are clean, the water is HOT and the water pressure is wonderful for those of us who like it like that. And really, who doesn't?! The place is owned by a very nice couple! They are only open during the summer months. If you are going to Red Lodge or traveling over the Beartooth Pass, this is a great place to spend a night. Or spend more time and enjoy some hiking in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. P.S. they are dog friendly too.

What a nice place to stay on the river. Right outside Red Lodge on Beartooth Hwy. it was so peaceful. All of the best sites are down below along river. Fire pits, picnic tables, power, water, sewer and the showers and bathroom are open all night. I would stay here again absolutely and recommend the friendly, helpful staff to all. Close to a grocery, banks, restaurants, liquor store, fun shopping too. (Within 2-4 miles) only drawback they take check or cash, no cc of debit card only. Maybe that's why the rates are good, so it's a trade off. Oh sign says you can buy cold beer there too.

This is a very nice place, right at the entrance to the Beartooth Highway. It has an upper and lower section. The lower section is near the river and shadier and campground-like. Cozy. The upper section (where we stayed) is sunny, open with great surrounding views as well as easier to navigate in and out. The highway is right next to us but quiet. WiFi was hit and miss as far as strength. Oh, no sewer and it's cash or check only. Good to know before planning. Owners were very helpful and accommodating (we told them one site, then another, then finally another before we decided). The spaces on the upper level are very close to each other. Our picnic table would've been right next to the person next to us. But, no one was put there during our stay. Deer come through the park, which is nice but, bears too....so we were told. Never saw any. Phew. If the park is full in the lower section, it would be difficult to get to the river as all the spots block any path. Fortunately, it was only half full so we could get down. Clean bathrooms for showering. A nice park, we'd stay here again.

Top section of park for bigger rigs.

I was in a tight spot and stuck in Red lodge after a 750mile ride and I was lucky enough to get the last campsite. I explained the situation I was in over the phone. Without ever meeting me or me asking for help Rebecca went into full what I like to call (stubborn mom mode) She told me "go here" and would not take no for an answer when it came to helping, and Im like "yes ma'am!" Soon after Jason showed up like a marvel superhero in a side by side . He was so genuine and nice. Their generosity and kindness protrude awesomeness of the highest caliber. That being said the campsites and facilities are dope and the restrooms are clean. 10/10 definitely coming back.

In about 2 1/2 hours for the northeast gate of Yellowstone. I had about two hours from Bighorn national recreation area. Jason had some wonderful scenic driving routes that you could take besides the Bear tooth. chief Joseph scenic byway was incredible. The only downside was our first day there was Canadian wildfire smoke. But it cleared out for the next day and we had bluebird skies. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The owner really cares about your wants and needs.

Eventually someone let her in. There was another junky car parked nearby that also clearly didn't belong there. So I was happy to be leaving because otherwise felt like my stuff would get stolen if I didn't watch it closely as we were packing up. I had called the "after hours" number twice about the lady before she got in but was directed to leave a message each time. All that said, I felt safe until then. The bathrooms and showers were clean and also plentiful. We played the mini golf there, which was free. We walked down to the Yellowstone River, which was steps away. It was stunning with lots of cool rocks. The one-room cabin was good. A code to get in, which was nice. Air conditioner and little fridge and desk with chair. Bunk beds and also another (full size?) bed. The curtains were good at blocking out light. The little shop had coffee in the morning but like all other koa's not until 8am. We had a fire pit at our cabin. I recommend this place but watch your belongings and don't let vagrants in the bathroom.
