I originally came in requesting two similar tires for the front and two similar tires for the back. Simple, right? But they didn't have matching options unless I wanted nearly bald tires--which made no sense. Why would I pay for used tires that look worse than what I came in with? On top of that, once the work was already done, they informed me it was cash only. No sign. No warning. No mention of it beforehand. If I didn't have the cash on me, what exactly would've happened? That's a huge red flag. I ended up paying $300, but only after arguing for a $40 discount because I was given four completely unmatching tires. Again--not what I asked for. I get that machines go down and things happen, but professionalism and clear communication should never go out the window. This shop failed in both areas. There's no reason customers should be blindsided with last-minute payment restrictions or forced to settle for subpar product quality. It was around 9 pm so there wasn't any service places open at that time. I found this place on the Internet and decided to take a chance because I didn't have many options and wanted the tire repaired versus putting the spare on. The guy came with his trailer and it became a "pop-up" repair shop. I was impressed. He took the tire off and rolled it into the "shop" and repaired my tire. After he put the tire back on he proceeded to check my other tires' air pressure. It was dark and I was alone (had someone on the phone though) but he made me feel very comfortable.
