We just bought a house that has three different roofs (rooves, how is that spelled?) installed by Rexway. We had a little lifting on the patio cover roofing, no leaks but still we called them. Blake came out this morning and climbed all over the house, looked at all our roofs (rooves, jeeze this is making me NUTS) and found a couple places that needed adhesive on the the patio cover. He reglued it and has promised to come out to recheck next week. I've had people weasel out of warrantees - not Rexway. Blake mentioned the old owner, which was sweet, but treated me like I paid for the roof. I'm all set for the next 15 years or so but I'll call them when the time comes for a new set of shingles! read more

It's amazing how a small thing can turn something you thought was wonderful into something repugnant. Called this company and Blake Martin came to see me and gave a estimate of $16,500. To completely remove the old roof, rotting facia and the boards underneath the old roof. Liked his presentation and found out he was about middle of the pack according to price. Called later and asked how much to remove rotting patio cover and was given $1,200. For that. I called again to ask about roofing over the front porch and ask the receptionist please NO calls after 11:00am and sure enough Blake calls while I'm in a meeting and I had to ask if I could call him back and here we go, he won't call me back, I've tried twice and I don't hear from him. So he's angry with me and has decided that I no longer deserve his time. This is a petty and irresponsible attitude. I won't use this company now even though they were my top pick. I didn't make this personal he did and I will never forget it. Not everyday you get slapped in the face by a roofer. read more

I was helping a friend whose daughter needed roof work. Her roof had been leaking over a poorly built addition and it was unclear to me the extent of the repair as I don't live near my friends daughter's house. I contacted numerous roofers in the area and got about half a dozen bids over the course of two days. After carefully analyzing the bids we decided to go with Rexway. Understand that the nature of the business I am in requires meticulous attention to detail, I used the same standard in suggesting Rexway be the successful bidder. Without going into why the others did not make the cut, I will say Rexway was on time, courteous and professional, and after checking the roof to determine the extent of damage and a course of action to repair the damage, it was clear to me they were a front runner. Their reasonable estimate (not the cheapest-but remember what they say about getting what you pay for) was what sealed the deal. Once the work was completed and we had rain there remained a small leak in another area of the addition that Rexway had not repaired. I contacted Blake who promptly came out when my friends daughter was available. Due to the poor construction of the addition it required a couple of visits but it appears we are now leak free. The point here is not only did they do everything right the first time, they were willing to follow up and address an area of the roof they had not originally repaired. Without reservation I wholeheartedly endorse Rexway and would recommend their services to anyone needing roof work, be it a small repair or a large re-roof. read more

BEWARE... they re-roofed the house that I rent... Before they started, I POLITELY asked their Crew (and I couldn't have been more nice) to remove my DirectTV dish and screw it back in upon completion... ALL they had to do was unscrew (4) simple Lag Screws and screw it back in... They ended up ripping out the Dish from the roof and throwing it to the ground, Cracking the reciever in the Process. I don't know if they took offense to me asking or if they just don't like overly nice people? Or, maybe Rexway treats their workers poorly and they were just projecting on me but, after I complained, it was all dirty looks from the Crew until completion :O! Leaving for work, I got dirty looks & coming home from work, DIRTY. LOOKS. I had to pay $99 to replace the DirectTV dish (standard fee) and was without TV for a week & a half during the NBA Playoffs & other Events. I spoke with one of Rexway's leaders (Adam, no integrity OR ownership) and he said he'd reimburse me the $99 and that he just needed a month to send a check out to me (which is weird that a company can't afford $99 on the fly)... 3 months later, no returning my calls, texts or emails. I even went on the Company's contact page and STILL NO REPLY. There were a few other instances of feeling uncomfortable in dealing with them but, to give you an idea... I was about to hop in the shower for work one morning and one of the guys set up a ladder by my shower window... I banged on the window to get the guys attention and said "please move the ladder." ...the guy yelled "FOR WHAT!!!" and I said "I don't want it there as I'm showering" (because you can directly see inside)... He just rooled his eyes and kept going. I had to nail a towl over the window to shower. Their Crew is extremely Rude... I thought one of the guys wanted to fist fight me but, I didn't take the bait AND to top it off, their Leaders have no INTEGRITY and will take no ownership if they feel you're no one to them. I would give them a minus Star Rating if I could. I highly recommend going with another Roofing company. read more

If the choice were available I would give them 0 stars. The president and foreman assured me they would clean up. They said the place will look better after we leave than before the job. The place was a mess. Plastic and nails in the gutters and on roof. Boxes, plastic, shingle pieces, tar can lid, flashing strips all left around the garage. Did not paint flashing around vents. At the end of the job, as I handed the foreman the check, I asked if the gutters were clean. He replied "yes". An absolute lie. read more

I had two dime size leak on my roof back in February and called a few contractors from Yelp to come out to get a quote. Most of them overcharged me and the work done was just patching up the hole without replacing any shingles and if I wanted to replace the shingles, it would be additional cost. Rexway Roofing came out and gave me the lowest quote with the most work done including patching and replacing 3 square foot of shingles around the leaked area. They also guarantee their work for a year. Blake was the one that helped me throughout the process. It was overall a pleasant experience and I will definitely use them again in the future! Things got even better when I recently called Blake to ask for a quote because my electrician accidentally drilled a quarter size hole through a roof while installing my pendent lights. Blake came out without hesitation and replaced the shingles for free. Wow talk about excellent service! I am surprised they are not as known on Yelp. After positively identifying mold growth on the ceiling of my mother's bedroom through mold inspection and testing, I contacted a handful of local roofers to inspect her roof to confirm if a leak was the source of the mold. Every roofer who came out confirmed several problem areas on the roof that were causing leaks that possibly contributed to the mold growth. I received 5 bids for a new roof from one referral and 4 companies that had 4.5-5 star reviews on Yelp and "A's" on Angie's List. Initially Rexway came in the highest, but Dean, the owner, worked with my mom's budget and ended up coming in just slightly above the average price of the other bids without comprising quality. The difference in quality, peace of mind, and TRUSTWORTHINESS for that "just slightly above average" $200-$300 dollars was well worth it. You truly get what you pay for, and Dean really gave us a break with the pricing, considering the high quality of their work. Their presentation was very polished and their portfolio was impressive- they even gave a list of nearby homes they recently re-roofed so we can see the quality of their work firsthand. Dean and his son, Blake (Rexway is family-owned and operated), walked us through the process, materials, and options very clearly. Dean was patient and thorough in answering all of my questions from start to finish (I work in an industry that forces me to be neurotic about every last detail, so I have a tendency to question everything). His response time was always immediate via phone (he always picked up) and within the hour via email. The decision to go with Rexway vs. the other companies broke down like this: 1. The lowest bidder, who was a personal referral (brother of friend... of friend), was licensed but did not own a company the size of Rexway with comparable resources, had not been in business as long as Rexway (30 plus years), and the warranty on labor was only 5 years (as opposed to 10 yrs with Rexway). The job no doubt would have taken longer, run less efficiently, and there would be no real assurance or guarantee that I would even find this guy if he relocated within the 5-year labor warranty period, whereas Rexway has been in business for over 30 years, which reassured they will be around. 2. The other two roofing companies that came in at the mid-range, had fine print in their proposals for additional costs for all damaged/rotted wood that may need to be replaced (priced out per piece and type). These add-on charges can add up quickly, especially on an older home, and push the total cost well over the initial bid. Rexway's costs included any damaged wood replacement as needed, and there were no surprises. Given that a number of pieces of wood were replaced, had we gone with the other two companies, we would have probbaly paid over the amount that we did with Rexway 3. The other company that came in just below the cost of Rexway recently had some very unfavorable reviews and ratings since the time I first researched them, so they were out. Rexway has had consistently good reviews, which showed their work was consistent and not hit-and-miss. I can say Rexway upheld their 5 Star Yelp reputation and Angie's List "A" rating in all aspects of their business- quality, knowledge, trustworthiness and honesty, professionalism, and efficiency. The job only took 1.5 days, went smoothly, and the end result looks stunning- my mom is getting compliments from all her neighbors. I highly recommend Rexway for a company you can trust to not just get the job done "right", but done well. read more

(2 at one property, 1 at another) - it's about time I write a review since Adam just left my house I purchased about a year ago and OF course with all the recent rain, I had a leak around my rooftop a/c unit. Then I asked him to do work on our primary home in South Hills and he claims he looked at the work but then said he needed permission to work on our roof? I was surprised and questioned why and I didnt realize he could not work on all roofs; had I known I would have been more specific instead of waiting for him to quote our repair? he then basically said, good luck finding another roofer.....wow! instead of trying to resolve my questions, and assure me that their company can help me, he basically blew me off? wow, they must have alot of work. It has been raining on and off consistently for the last 6 weeks or so in Los Angeles. We have not gotten this much rain for at least a decade. Imagine the amount of roof leaks that people are experiencing. Called several roofing companies that only answered with recorded messages saying that they are not taking new business because of how busy they are this storm season. No one answered and nobody wants to come out to check or fix a roof leak. Blake called back promptly and scheduled the earliest appointment to come out to check a roof leak. We hired Rexway to reroof both our house and the three-car garage/workshop in the back. We got bids from about 4 companies, two of which we eliminated immediately. Rexway was not the most expensive, nor was it the least expensive. We liked how Dean and Blake's bid was all-inclusive but they became our final choice based on the clear and thorough explanation of the process ( photos included ) and their overall professional demeanor. We were scheduled out about 6 weeks and when the date came for the tear-off, his guys were here and ready to work! At one point, between the tear-off crew and the shingle crew, there were 12 very pleasant men here, working hard, on the hottest 3 days of the summer so far. Big shout out to the crew leader Don who obviously had their respect. I was worried about the plants alongside the house and my tomatoes in the raised beds; they were very careful and did a great job cleaning up each day.
