We received several quotes from roofing companies, and while Baja Roofing was on the higher end, we ultimately chose them due to their proximity to our home and because they are a family-owned business. At the start, communication was excellent. They responded to calls, texts, and emails promptly. I initially worked with Chris, and once the project began, I was transitioned to Greg. Scheduling took some time due to heavy rain earlier in the year, but once we were on the calendar, they got to work quickly. We chose to invest in top-of-the-line materials because we see our home as a long-term investment in a highly desirable area. During the installation, we anticipated there might be additional costs once the existing roof was removed. When issues were discovered, the team communicated promptly, which I appreciated. However, toward the end of the project, communication became more difficult. I had trouble reaching Chris, Greg, and the owner, and felt like I had to follow up multiple times to get clear answers. One situation that felt uncomfortable was when a prospective client came to our home after being told by Chris that our roof had recently been completed by Baja Roofing. While I understand wanting to showcase their work, it was concerning to have a stranger come to our house(especially because I have a small child) without any prior notice. A heads-up would have been appreciated. Additionally, there were a few instances where incorrect invoices were sent to me. Given the size of this investment, that made me uneasy, as I wanted to ensure everything was accurately documented, including the upgrades we paid for. I also raised a few concerns via email that I felt were somewhat dismissed toward the end of the project. Overall, while the work itself met expectations and started off with strong communication, the lack of consistency toward the end made the experience a little more stressful. read more

These guys never followed up with me regarding a roof replacement for this year 2026. They did work for me last year and I was satisfied with their work. Either they forgot about this client apparently, so I am close to hiring another roofing company. C'est la vie Baja Roofing! read more

At the end, I think the roof replacement + gutters ended up OK with no major issues but I would avoid going with them again. Though it was summer, they failed to properly tarp or cover the exposed wood sheathing after removing the old roofing material. They left this overnight, but they ensured me (before booking with them), this would not happen. I read online and checked with a roofing inspector, this should not be done and the typical practice is to tarp it. Even if rain is not forecasted that day, leaving the roof untarped increases risk of damage into the home. Their response was that this was normal practice and there is no issue with it. They had been pushy to get me to sign the replacement wood pricing to get the work done on time, making me think it was urgent to finish the woodwork replacement that day. I signed within the hour, then they left it exposed. Another issue is that, when they replaced the fascia board, they only painted the fascia board they replaced-- so now it's a mismatch of old brown wood and white wood. If this is common practice, it should have been communicated beforehand; I would have agreed on a price to paint all the wood. But, in the end, roof was replaced in good time & the staff crew who came into work were all fantastic. But the crew for each step is different. Think management/owners could have been better at handling the process. With the headaches it caused, I would have found someone else to do business with. read more

It was a great experience having our roof done with Baja Roofing. We got several quotes to begin with, and they were competitive. They offered financing options as well. From the getgo, they were communicative, and helpful. There was no rain on the forecast when the project begun, but the night our roof was down to plywood, there was an unexpected rain in our area. We woke up to a call from them telling us they were on their way to cover the roof with tarps, and they were at our house in no time, helping us avoid water from coming in the house. We were greatful for their quick action, as again, rain was totally unexpected. This company is far beyond professional and responsive. Our insurance made us get a new roof; thus we began getting quotes. Arthur came out and explained the different options. Baja Roofing was not the cheapest bid but their professionalism and warranty convinced me. They replaced our shingle roof, replaced our fascia boards, and silicone coated our backyard patio in August 2024. The work was done timely and they answered all of our questions throughout the process ( I ask a lot of questions). The results were amazing and made our house look more appealing. My home is 100 years old. Previous owners just layered and layered shingles on top of this what was once a gravel roof. There was all kinds of water damage from over the years, and I had been saving to get a new roof. Then I called Baja Roofing. I have been following Baja Roofing for a while now. I've been watching this business for over 2 years. They have a social media presence where day-in, day-out, I am seeing quality work. So I had already set my heart on hiring Baja Roofing. Sal came out and helped with the initial quote. We worked together on the quote because I knew it was going to be more than I wanted, but I knew the quality I was going to get would be superior. After factoring in all repairs, I signed the contract. Jeremy worked on really understanding any issues I might have and cleared everything up. When the guys got started, they really tried to keep everything clean. I messed up and left the sprinkler's on one day but that didn't seem to affect their work. There was one instance where I asked Jeremy to make sure something was clean. In all it took about 5 business days to complete the work. It was a very quick process with the city and they did not have any issues or requests. I really enjoyed talking to Joseph as well about how this is a family business through and through and that their job is really to provide quality and superior work. I've worked with Baja Roofing on both a roof repair, as well as a new roof. Both times Joseph led the project, I found him to be a prompt, effective, and thorough communicator.
