Same meat in both the Burrito and the Enchilada!!
    John J.

Mediocre Americanized Mexican food at best!! Barely sat down and waiter was already asking if I was ready to order. Hadn't even looked through the whole menu and he'd come around 3 other times. Ordered a #12 Special of one Burrito, one Tamale, and one Enchilada. The Burrito and the Enchilada had the exact same tasteless ground meat substitute only one had a corn tortilla and the other a flour tortilla. Also it looks more like TVP (Texturized Vegetable Protein)also known as soybean and it had no taste! The tamale was obviously store bought and more typical of a Miss. delta region "Hot Tamale" than an authentic Mexican Tamale. It was all covers in a red sauce that looked exactly like the salsa served with the chips. Food did come out VERY fast and after it came out the waiter never came around again until I was practically done with my meal. For those of you who said this is good Mexican food and/or gave this place more than one star, have a REALLY low bar set for good Mexican food. Almost wish I'd gone to Taco Bell!!!! And I happen to know what is good Mexican food being of Mexican decent myself and having traveled and worked in Mexico.

Just an average to above average Mexican restaurant. The steak is pretty good. I believe it is owned by the same owners as el sombrero, so understandably, the quality and service is near identical. The salsa special is definitely the go-to lunch menu option. I would return. Please assist me in "Bringing the internet" to this town by adding your own review as well as pictures of the menu. Thanks!

It's our usual haunt for take out food. The cheese dip is amazing, fajitas and chimis as well... best spot to stop on 61 north, by far.

    Yum-o!

Always good Mexican food and service. Nice people as well. We get DoorDash from them often and it's always correct.

Really good Authentic Mexican food with great service. Surprised there wasn't many customers, since the food is so good. Hidden gem.

Great chips & salsa. Very good Tex Mex style food. Incredible generous servings and low prices. I would come again.

The food is just as good as el sombrero but the service is faster and not as crowded.

Dangerous Foreign Object Found in Food - Major Safety Concern…read more The Incident: Visited on December 21, 2024. Received the wrong order initially, which should have been my first warning sign. I drove home, and the order was missing three tacos. The person at the front told me everything was in the bag. So, the manager was friendly enough to give me a complimentary tea, but when I got home, I might have needed a free tooth. When I got what was supposedly my correct order and started eating, I bit down on a hard foreign object in the food. What Happened: The object was dark, complex, and definitely did not belong in food I have clear photos and kept the object as evidence. Fortunately, I didn't bite down with full force, or I would likely have dental injuries. This could have been a choking hazard or caused broken teeth. The Bottom Line: This isn't just "bad customer service" - this is a potential health hazard. Foreign objects in food can cause broken teeth, cuts and lacerations, choking, and internal injuries. Quality control failures this serious are unacceptable. I'm sharing this review so others can make informed decisions about eating here.

I expected a sit-down restaurant but it's an order-at-the-counter and they call out your order when it's ready. Need a number system for calling out the order. It was not busy inside and the drive through maintained a fairly steady flow of customers. Decore is nicely done. I got the nachoes platter and didn't care for the liquid cheese or lack of meat-although it had lots of beans.

There are not a lot of Yelpers in Vicksburg but Rusty's had some great reviews so we decide to try it. Nice location near the river and plenty of street parking. We were seated quickly after our full party arrived. There is nothing fancy about this place but clean and simple. When you walk in you see the desserts in the cooler in the front and they all look delicious and homemade. We saw some dinner rolls being brought to the table but we were not offered any so we asked and they are free. So make sure to ask. They are yummy little yeast rolls with some sweet (maybe honey) butter. I tried a Bahama mama that was tasty and we liked the fried calamari (7/10). This place is a mostly seafood restaurant with a few good options if you don't or can't eat seafood. We had two in our party that does not eat seafood and they enjoyed the blacked chicken. The mozzarella sticks were also tasty. The start of the dinner was the Redfish with the craw fish cream sauce. DE-licious!! I enjoyed the seafood pasta. It's a lemon butter sauce not creamy but I liked it! It came with a side so I tried a cup of gumbo for $3 up-charge. It was worth it. Very good gumbo with sausage, shrimp, scallops, and an oyster! Looking forward to going back!
