That day must have been our lucky day because I sent my kiddo inside and he was seen and done in about 35-40 mins. He did say an older gentleman allowed him to go ahead of him which I truly appreciated. They also did a really nice job on his haircut, because I wasn't present I can't say if what he asked for was what he got but he said he really liked it and that's all that matters (That and it was a good cut) I'd say the only drawbacks were that it was cash-only, which luckily I had on me, though I usually don't carry cash, and neither do my kid and that the place had a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke. That said, I was only inside for a few minutes just to hand over the money. My boys said they would absolutely return.

The owner kept mumbling things and I had to repeatedly ask him what he said. It was a really awkward experience. I wanted to run out of the shop a couple times but glad I didn't because I wound up with a nice tattoo in the end. I will say that when you go in and you ask for a certain artist thats who you expect to get. I reviewed their page and picked out the owner to do the tattoo based off of the work he displayed he could do on his site. This owner started with me and then after sitting me in his chair said I'm actually going to have another guy do your tattoo. Im like huh? Ive had many tattoos before and ive never had someone do this. I mean the owner made me feel like I was irritating him when I was really trying to just give him my money for his work. I promise I wasnt pushy or anything. I asked twice about the price because he never asked me. He seemed very uninterested in talking to me, looking me in the eye or even answering a straight forward question. I felt like I came in right after a huge argument in the shop or something. I dont know if I will go back just because of the way they made me feel.

Great barber shop! Plain and simple. Have been here multiple times and loved every visit!! Keeps it classic with hot lather shaves and the whole deal!! Plus love the sign right in your face that says NO profanity and NO politics!! Nice to visit a place that still has some basic courtesy! Would highly recommend. Then one of the girls said wait, another stylist was on premises, but wasn't working, she was at a trunk show next door. They asked her if she would cut my hair and she said sure. Well, Casey was awesome, made me feel like I was one of her regular clients. She took her time to find out what I wanted and I walked out thrilled with my haircut. The Salon was clean, inviting and all the girls were very friendly. I would highly recommend this place, and next time I am shopping in town, I will make an appointment with Casey.

My wife works in Manteo and made an appointment, they had her number if "THEY" were "confused" as was told to us but nobody called with any questions. So, we arrive and the person, the "stylist" (that is questionable) is not there, one lady is cutting hair and basically tries to find out what is going on..she finally get in touch with the person that is supposed to do my wife's hair. She shows up late and says " I do not work past 2:00 pm would you like to reschedule" . As a husband that will have to deal with my spouse, a former owner of multiple retail businesses and restaurants, and a resident I feel it is my responsibility to say do not go here. If a business can not honor their appointments, show up on time, and not even try to accommodate you will lose all your customers! Oh and you came as a recommendation but they had not been there in a while. I will make sure to let them know..to not come back!

I called and spoke to Nhina and was able to set up a morning appointment. When I got to the shop, I was reminded of the shops from way back. The vibe was totally old school. I told her what I wanted and Nhina who is actually the owner and sole employee told me that she thought I would do better with fewer holes pulled in the cap. She was right. She said "I'm glad I didn't listen to you"! She gave me an awesome cut that was so trendy and not a typical "older lady" look. I am so pleased with my hair that I might have to find a way to come back to see her in 6 weeks or so! I had just met this delightful woman and I felt like I had known her for years. She is that good of a human. We hugged when I left and I told her I was going to sing her praises however I was able. If you need a stylist or maybe want a change, please consider Perfect Image.
