The finish in the kitchen and part of the dining has unacceptable issues. This has been a problem since day one. There is dark staining coming through the wood on the seams. The finish is uneven and the floor stains when anything touches it. It just seems like the floor has no protection at all. The rest of the house does not have this issue. We have sent Mike pictures, asked him to come... which he has done... but 2.5 years later he has done nothing to resolve the problem. We have called and called. In our last conversation, we told him his behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional 2.5 years was too long to wait! He told me "We are too far out of the way and inconvenient...that I would just have to wait a little longer. Funny, he didn't feel that when he took the job. Sadly, he has mistaken our kindness and patience for weakness. Therefore, we are left with little choice but to let future customers know that this business DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK and begin a social media campaign to get this word out. Plus Door J., has an incredible stock on salvaged doors that come directly from suppliers. They claim their doors are "either overstock, inaccurate orders, or have slight cosmetic defects, but all the products are new and structurally sound". And if you can't find your door here, one will be ordered for you. That's what we did. I love our wide pass-through living room in our new home, but we wanted to have the option of closing it off if we want to- or keeping it open. Barn-styled doors was our go-to. Chris was super helpful the first time we came here and gave us a in-depth rundown about Door J. Do know, this place does not: (1)deliver and (2)install doors- because that's on you or your contractor- if you're using one- which we did. We were also in the market for slider windows for our basement and these folks helped with that.
