The Eden Co was a perfect combination of a local businesses we could support, while having a strong foundation and familiarity of understanding and working with the personality of the homes associated with our neighborhood - Hampden. Who doesn't want to work with a much more affordable version of a "Chip and Joann"? We primarily saw and worked with Joe, while Karly is more behind the scenes. The work we had done was our two upstairs bedrooms, stuck in some unknown decade of quirky and mismatched. We were able to have our master bedroom vaulted and both bedrooms were repainted with recessive lighting installations. The Master bedroom was completely transformed beyond expectations and quickly become the favorite room of the house and the second bedroom/office is warmer, brighter, and cleaner. Joe and his team are honest, professional, and meticulous in keeping things tidy and organized. Joe is like that friend you haven't seen in a while and it's nice to have that level of trust when it comes to improving your home/sanctuary. I recently used Eden Home Renovations to complete what I'll call a basement remodel-I had some flooding in my basement and had to replace the floor, bottom two feet of drywall and trim. I had a poor experience with the folks I hired to do the water mitigation work, originally planning to have them also do the remodel and then just really bad luck trying to hire another contractor-lots of no shows, or folks who showed up for the estimate but then not follow through when I tried to hire them. After all that, dealing with Joe was like a breath of fresh air. He came out to check out my space within a week of contacting him, took his time looking around and telling me his thoughts, which I appreciated. When he was a day or two later than he mentioned getting me the written estimate, he reached out to let me know. He followed up after the estimate, which I received during a super busy time personally, and I was ready to schedule the work but had to postpone, due to last minute travel for work. We agreed on a date after I returned, and again he followed up to make sure we were still on. This kind of communication has been unheard of, in my experience with hiring other professionals to work on my house, and I really appreciated it. Joe has been responsive, reliable, and friendly throughout, accommodated my work schedule and any interactions I had with his team were also fine. I'm very pleased with the work he did to restore my basement-it looks great and I can't wait to unpack all my stuff and start getting some use out of it (and also show it off)!! Let's face it. Baltimore is the "Wild West" with contractors. Luckily we have online reviews so I hope this saves some of my fellow Baltimore residents some time. Having been through hell with my last home repair, I contacted 15 contractor services for roof and drywall work. I obtained 15 quotes and spoke to 15 contractors. Out of all 15 there was only one I felt like I could trust. Not only because his quote was super fair, but he gave me a REALISTIC timeline and was responsive. Joe and the Eden crew were great to work with. I was ready to undertake a kitchen remodel and 2 bathroom models, then Covid hit. After a stellar review from friends that worked with Eden earlier in the year, and meeting with Joe to discuss the projects and understand Eden's Covid safety precautions, I decided to move forward. The quality of work was excellent and Joe was always quick to answer questions and fully resolve any issues that came up along the way. Because of Covid, I was living and work in my house during the construction. The crew were in my house for 2.5 months and always wore masks and were respectful that I was living and working in the construction space. I had a clear creative vision for my projects, and Eden did an excellent job of implementing my vision. I used some unusual materials, including Moroccan zellige tile for a kitchen and bathroom wall and the showers in the 2 bathrooms, and the crew were happy to work with a new material, and did a great job with the tile installation.
