Classes take place at Rockwind Community Links, formerly known as Ocotillo Golf Course, just north of town. My daughters, currently ages 10 & 11, have been in the program since March 2023. I've been around numerous staff and coaches who facilitate the program. Not only do they stress the importance of fundamentals, but they keep it fun and at the end of each session they discuss pillars pertaining to character and sportsmanship like respect and responsibility. Classes usually begin at the practice area, but First Tee does have their own office building for when parents need to drop of voluntary fundraiser money and pick up orders. The usual rate is $60 per child for an 8-week session, one class per week typically beginning at 4:15PM. Extra day camps are also offered throughout the year. Tip: There's an admission fee here, so be sure to get your money's worth when you visit Allegedly there are trails for mountain biking here, but there are so many people riding ATVs on those same trails that I wouldn't take the risk of riding a bike. Rather than fix these issues, the owner and receptionist argued with me. I removed my son. My last review was removed for not being clear enough, so I came back to detail my experience at this place.

However, I can say that Rock Solid is about as good as they come. We've had our daughter at a couple different gyms and so far this one is the best. She is 4 -- (so far) she doesn't want to be competitive or pressured to do riskier things, and this is largely why we like Rock Solid because while they are very competitive in some of the programs, they also let the kids have fun. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful with the little ones. You get a sense that they actually enjoy the time they spend with the kids and that is worth alot. Unlike other gyms in Lubbock, the entire building is air conditioned so parents and kiddos can enjoy the time more comfortably. The only thing I don't like about RS is that the sight lines are the greatest. Because of the way the building is oriented, it can be difficult to see everything your little one is doing. Since they rotate around, this is not a huge problem but something that can get on your nerves.
