Other then having a 4 y/o that enjoys gymnastics I know nothing about gymnastics... can't tell you a move, name an apparatus, or name an Olympic gymnasts. However, I can say that Rock Solid is about as good as they come. We've had our daughter at a couple different gyms and so far this one is the best. She is 4 -- (so far) she doesn't want to be competitive or pressured to do riskier things, and this is largely why we like Rock Solid because while they are very competitive in some of the programs, they also let the kids have fun. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful with the little ones. You get a sense that they actually enjoy the time they spend with the kids and that is worth alot. Unlike other gyms in Lubbock, the entire building is air conditioned so parents and kiddos can enjoy the time more comfortably. The only thing I don't like about RS is that the sight lines are the greatest. Because of the way the building is oriented, it can be difficult to see everything your little one is doing. Since they rotate around, this is not a huge problem but something that can get on your nerves. read more

Attended a birthday party here for a 4YO. I loved that they allowed the whole facility to be rented. It was spacious, and it allowed for the kids to run around the tumbling mat, trampolines, and foam pit. It was a shame the ninja obstacle course area was being renovated. That was closed off to guests. There were 2 employees that served as leaders or party helpers. They pretty much kept the kids away from anything too dangerous for liability reasons. The kiddos played for an hour while being supervised. It seemed like such a long time because all the activities just started getting repetitive. It would have been nice to have some guided activity or games! The last half hour was in a party room upstairs. It was very spacious and a great space for cake and presents. I would not recommend it for a party because it seemed rushed the last half hour. As we walked out they were preparing for another party. Just another facility that serves as a kids party factory. read more

We absolutely love Rock Solid. My daughter has been taking gymnastic here since 2011 and has been on the competitive team since 2014. The coaches are amazing. They are devoted to seeing every child grow and learn not only in their gymnastics skills but in every aspect of their lives. Rock Solid also has a great summer camp program, after school care, dance, Ninja and cheer classes. There is something for every child's interest. The facility is state of the art with the best equipment and safety standards. You won't find a better gym anywhere!! read more

Love this place! The coaches are well trained and teach the children to be their best. They have an outstanding gymnastics program, as well as dance and a ninja zone. They also offer summer child care, after school care, and fabulous birthday parties. Best place in town! read more

Rock Solid has been teaching my kids for 7 years and they are the most amazing place!! The kids are constantly learning new skills and safety with excellently trained staff!! Their coaching staff has taught my kids safety, strength, endurance, team work, fun, hard work & much more!! My kids never want to leave the gym & they never complain to go!! My kids and I love Rock Solid!! Best decision I've ever made !! The kids see their coaches not only as experienced gymnast but great role models for life !! I would recommend this place to everyone!!! They even have a mommy and me class which is a great class to bond and watch your child grow and love gymnastics !! Have a boy that loves to climb ?? Rock solid is very good everything is so great the teachers are very great with the kids we tried tega and it was okay just that we were on a waiting list and so is everyone else Rock solid is just so much better there are so many teachers and helpers there and although there are some bumps in the road I strongly recommend that you go to Rock solid!!!! :-) read more

The premier gymnastics facility in West Texas offering gymnastics, dance, tumbling, trampoline, and more "ninja" style instruction as well as after-school and summer camps. Check out our 43,000 sq ft facility completed in 2016. We do get a lot of families from little towns around Lubbock including New Home, Tahoka, Levelland, and New Deal come to us - we welcome you too! Our classes make for an active day sure to leave a smile on your child's face. We have gymnastics programs for girls and gymnastics programs for boys as well as dance instruction, tumbling classes from our tiniest tumblers to those gearing up for cheer tryouts. Our "ninja" style classes are a great introduction to free-form movement through obstacles in a safe learning environment. Kids will be active all day long at our Summer Camps or School's Out Day Camps. Learn cartwheels, backflips, handstands, ring swings, pullovers, roundoffs, and so much more. We provide a comfortable learning environment with trained coaches and state-of-the-art mats for absolute safety. Active families in and around Lubbock, Texas are welcome to join our Rock Solid family as there are activities for ALL. We have classes beginning at 18 months that range through 18 years. We also have a family active workout room with a splendid view over the gym to watch your child get active. We opened in 2011 with 30 students and now serve hundreds of families in the Lubbock area training children and teens in a Christian environment.

My family joined with Al and Jennifer to open Rock Solid Athletics in 2011 after seeing the amazing love they have for the sport of gymnastics and keeping kids active. We've seen incredible things happen for my children as well as many others when they work toward physical fitness and compete in a difficult sport with positive and encouraging coaching in a Christian environment.

This place has a few pitfalls that keep me from not purchasing a yearly membership: First off, the wait to get to where you're going can be a bit much. The lines are a bit confusing as it is. They've since simplified it within the 9 months that I have lived here, but it could be even more simpler. Second, the clientele are less than appeasing. I tend to cause like a sailor, but not in public. It gets old. Amenities: + cardio equipment on the top floor + free weights, plate loaded, and selectorized machines on the bottom floor + gym (the floor is lined for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, four-square & shuffleboard) + indoor track + lap pool + locker room + personal trainer available + racquetball courts (2 available... reservations also available) + splash pad + spa (for ages 13 years & up) + sports programs (adult & youth) + studio & wellness classes + turf (soccer, flag football, ultimate frisbee, & golf) + water slides (4' & taller) My girls have participated in the volleyball classes here which were okay, but not very competitive. Just this past weekend (5/6/2023) I took the to the splash area for the first time area. Even though I declined to swim, I was still charged admission ($4 for the entire day). My 8 & 9-year-olds were charged $3 apiece for entry. In the splash area which is completely indoors, there are two sets of bleachers and multiple individual lounge chairs and side tables scattered all around. Free parking.

Rock Solid Athletics is hands down the best gymnastics training gym in town. My daughter has been attending for over 4 years and I have seen her progress so much. The coaches are kind, attentive, caring and provide positive reinforcement. My daughter loves going to Rock Solid and is always excited to be there. The new facility is amazing and you can tell that a lot of time and thought went into the planning and execution of the design. The equipment and space is very nice and functional. I grew up in club gymnastics and I haven't ever seen such a nice facility. I also must brag on the staff. Jennifer and Karmen are so nice and always helpful. They are always available to answer questions and the place runs like clockwork. Also, the many coaches, including Al, Rachel and Micah (among others) are amazing and seriously top notch. Rock Solid is by far the best gym in town. My daughter is a team gymnast there and LOVES it! We have the best coaches and training environment by far. Athletes are taught proper form and skills in a loving and nurturing environment. My son also does the after school care and Ninja class which he thinks is awesome! We do the summer camp for summer care and my kids love it! Wouldn't trust anyone else in town with my children!! And did I mention they just won "Best of the West" for 2018 for gymnastics and place to have a birthday party! read more

We've been with Rock Solid for about three years now. Our oldest daughter is on team, and our youngest is in the older pre-school class, and we couldn't be happier. The new gym is massive, and the upstairs galleries allow non-stop viewing, so we can always see what our kids are up to. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the coaches/teachers are all knowledgeable and kind. They truly care about my children, not just my money. I can't recommend Rock Solid highly enough, and we look forward to many more years of involvement here. read more

Both of my children have gone to Rock Solid and both have loved it. My son is on team and loves Coach Pierce and Coach Rudy. Everyone on staff is focused on the children. Having tried a few of the other local gymnastics facilities in Lubbock, this one is by far the best and covers all aspects of gymnastics rather than just a few. We have been going now for 4+ years and would recommend Rock Solid to everyone who has children interested in gymnastics. read more

We have been part of the Rock Solid family for 5 years. I appreciate the environment - lots of positivity, coaches who genuinely care about my gymnast, and a Christian atmosphere. Both of my kids are a part of the after-school program as well and enjoy their afternoons with friends in a safe and fun setting. Tremendous staff and gym. Very helpful and the owners, instructors, and people are very friendly and welcoming. We have been to other gyms in this area where they are very poor gyms, less then friendly owners , and revolving staff. They have birds flying around in the gym and the equipment does not seem safe. My daughter is a dancer and she has learned so much from the dance instructors there, everything from ballet to tap and now they even offer acrobatic dance, which she loves! 4 kids. 3, 7, 9 & 10 -- they all love it and the teachers / coaches are all great. The entire facility is air conditioned and the viewing area is superb. There is a small cardio area for the parents to use where you can also watch your kids. Fantastic place, would recommend it to anyone! read more
