I have been a patient twice at AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab at the hospital in Apopka, FL. The first time was in 2016 when I received treatment for an elbow fracture and the second in 2019 for back pain. From the first day that I walked in, I knew that this unit had some really superior people. And, by that I mean not just in their competency for rehab work but in their cheerful, positive, and compassionate personalities. Let me start with the office people. Michelle is just superior at any level that she handles and she treats people with a friendly and helpful approach that is rare and hard to find nowadays. Samantha is the same way. She really cares about what she is doing and really communicates well with everyone. The Rehab staff headed by Fred and his people like Phyllis, Jojo, and all others are among the friendliest and most compassionate people that you will ever find. You can tell by the way they help the people there, some of which are elderly and in pain. This staff is all about helping people in every way. Their cheerfulness is infectious and sometimes you can't help but smile and laugh at their comments and friendly banter. Whenever I finished my treatment and left, I always felt better, not just because of the physical therapy, but because I had been surrounded by truly nice people who really cared about others. When you've got kids and you need an x-ray done, this is where I suggest. They take my insurance, and the doctors and staff are so respectful and kind to everyone - including the kids. When you've got a kid in pain, it helps to have someone willing to talk to them and let them know what happens next. This trip was for an accident. My youngest had fallen the night before and hurt his ankle. The next day I took him in for x-rays. Shockingly enough he ended up having a fracture and needed a cast put on. Now he's 6, and has to know EVERYTHING that is happening and why. Every person we saw was kind and patient, explained everything to him, and made him feel calm. Side note - the cast work was great! So if you ever find yourself in a bind and need to be seen quickly, check this place out!

Before you enter their office you are greeted with an assistant who takes your temp and you sign a covid 19 doc answering various questions. Once that done you go to the kiosk I and sign yourself in and take a seat. I was maybe sitting for 10 min and was called in. Everyone was super nice from the, front desk, xray tech, to the doctor. The second time I went back was just as great. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.
