Everyone I was finally able to speak to was miserable and clearly hated their jobs. I'm sorry I need to disturb you, but I am thankfully not familiar with the process after an accident, especially after a hit and run. It was really nice to feel like such a burden while also dealing with everything else. The officer who responded was ok, but everyone else made me dread ever having to call back. Unfortunately, I am not done dealing with them since I still need an accident report and their hours are limited to my work hours, so I have the pleasure of dealing with them again in the middle of my workday (and paying for it), I can't wait.

No tax payer in that community should feel as though their police dept is not following through with their commitments to the safety of its community so I hope this post gets the attention it deserves. My mom/step dad were robbed on Labor Day in broad daylight in North Smithfield. I'd like to see more attention given to finding the assailants that did this especially as if not, other homeowners are exposed to incur the same thing. In addition, my mother called 2x when a strange man was walking around their house and NOTHING was done until that man jumped into a neighbor's window. This is unacceptable behavior. If a member of the community has flagged suspicious behavior, the police should be at attention before a man jumps into someone's home.

My children and I had left Walmart and a man was standing right by my car smoking pot (I knew right away from the disgusting smell, and when I asked the man if he was smoking pot, he said yes. It was so infuriating because we all smelled like pot instantly, including in my car for a while). It appears there are still some "gray" areas in MA, which is so frustrating for those of us who have never had an interest in drugs, and try to teach our children NOT to do drugs... now I (and my children) smell it all the time in public areas! Thankfully, this police officer (a woman... I didn't get her name) was willing to help and she even said she'd have an officer go over to Walmart's parking lot since IT IS ILLEGAL to drive while intoxicated with pot... sadly (unlike alcohol) there's no test for it yet. I'll pray this man doesn't kill someone on the road tonight while DUI. A big THANK YOU to this Bellingham Police officer for taking her job seriously!
