They take you on actual roads and test you on every scenario. You learn valuable road skills through their mock tests. I was a total beginner. I had no idea how to drive. They guide you 100% through every step. They explain every road sign (even the rare/uncommon ones). Whether you're somewhat experienced or a complete beginner, First Gear is a great school. They teach you a "defensive" driving style in order to look out for other driver's mistakes and act accordingly.

He allows students to attend without wearing a mask and for this reason my student did not return after they reopened during the pandemic. The corporate office does not have standards about how a franchise is run. I was told the VP, Susan Valverde will call me back and never did. When I visited the owner about the number of sessions we had left, he had it recorded as we had been there during the pandemic and when he was called out on this, he said he would have to get back with me - he never did. I strongly do not recommend using Sylvan. Corporate does not care how a center is being run as long as they pay their franchise fees. The owner could care less about the safety of your child or their lack of learning.

Never once got to see the truck before my test or even use it. Couldn't take the test after all. They wouldn't issue a refund of any sort what so ever because they already took the truck to the dmv, even though other people were testing today as well. They stole the $500 and they said I could attend their school for $3,000 to take my test. I wonder how many people they scam with their "truck rental" service that's not even listed on their website. So much for supporting veterans.

The process with all the paperwork and signatures was very easy and relaxed. The couple has worked together for about 18 years and are some of the kindest people I've ever met. I expected to be stressed during my driving test, but instead I felt very calm. Both my brother and I passed with high scores, and all of my friends who have gone here say their experience was amazing as well. Unlike some of the negative DPS experiences I've heard about, Double G is friendlier, less stressful, and even cheaper. Definitely worth it! They truly make you feel like family :)

Right from the start of school, there were some major issues - not enough teachers, the school director wasn't on top of things, and the school was all over the place. While my child was there for about a year and a half (I didn't have other choices at the time), she went through a lot of things that I thought were really not okay. The teachers always had excuses that didn't really make sense. What really upset me was when my child came home with marks one day. She had marks that looked like they were from an adult's nails, but they said it could have been from a bush or another kid's hand. I had already talked to the state about problems before, but I didn't see any improvements. The school director and the person in charge of the area just gave me excuses. Nothing worse than your child lifting their arm and saying "dada ouch, dada ouch" over and over. Because of what she went through from the start, my child started biting as a way to protect herself from all the bad stuff. I had cameras on her all day, so I know how often it happened. But the teachers didn't seem to notice as usual. After an investigation, they kicked my child out for biting. On that same day, we got a call from a much better school nearby. Since she moved there, my child is doing so much better - learning more, talking and signing better. I really think the old school and its staff were holding her back. If I could rate that place, I'd give it a 0 for all the awful stuff we had to deal with. Do your child a favor and stay away from here.

Calling and leaving messages for the directors requesting a refund seems to be frivalous banter. It's been months now and the employees of this institution have failed to communicate a status to my family. I have attempted to reach corperates number that was provided to me by the staff and was deliberately given disconnected information. If the integrity of the directors can be questioned in such a manner how can this establishment be trusted with our children.
