Kongens Nytorv is one of Copenhagen's central landmarks; a beautiful and well-kept public square…read moreright next to the jewel of the city, the Nyhavn waterfront. The open space has a calm atmosphere, with a small garden in the middle and majestic historic buildings surrounding it, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Hotel D'Angleterre, and several high-end shops like Rolex. It's a convenient meeting point and a pleasant place to pause while exploring the city. There's even a small pub on the corner, perfect for an Aperol Spritz on a warm afternoon. I don't claim this the most beautiful place in the city, but it's nice to pass through.
