Sure, the angry geese are still there - you better watch out for them - but this nice park is one of the best parks there in Malmö and when I say parks, I meant many since Malmö truly have a lot of nice parks for such a compact city (compared to Copenhagen). If you need "time out" after spending the day shopping and helping the Swedish economy, maybe you could have your fika as takeaway and head here on a nice summer / autumn day

We just happened to see it when walking back to our hotel from the Langelinie. The fountain in the…read moremiddle of the garden immediately draws you into this lovely greenspace. It looked so familiar to me, and I didn't know why until I looked over to my right. It's the fountain that we saw in the distance from Amalienborg Palace Square. The symmetry of the garden was created with the Frederiksgade axis in mind. The best visual of this alignment would probably be from Frederik's Church. There are sculptured patina columns placed symmetrically on each corner of this royal path leading to the harbor. These are the works of the Italian abstract artist, Arnaldo Pomodoro. It brings in an interesting element that melds urbanization with nature. I didn't really notice it right away until seeing how the sunlight interacts with the columns when walking back towards the street. It's a cool feature! The rest of the garden is very well designed and manicured. I love the tall Boxwood shrubs along the wall. It gives the garden path a majestic look while obstructing the view of the street. It makes this garden a little more secluded from everyday life in the city. It was a nice stop along the harbor on our way back to Nyhavn and Christianshavn.

Right next to the water, and the grounds are very well maintained. Some tourists but overall not very crowded in the winter time. Must see when in this city.

I love this park. You can literally find something cool to do in this park for every season…read more In the Spring, you can take a peaceful walk amongst the blooming foliage and spot wild deer. During the Summer, you can pack a picnic and enjoy in the the park. You can even spend a night camping! This park produces an ample harvest of apples and wild berries during the Fall. And the changing colors of the leaves is really beautiful. Lastly, you can walk through the park in your own winter wonderland during the Winter when there is snowfall. Don't forget to bring your sled so you can slide down the only "hills" in KBH. There are designated paths that are well kept and provide great routes for running or walking. But there are countless paths that branch out deep into the park if you're feeling extra adventurous. The paved paths are always well-maintained and plowed/salted when there's snow. And then there's of course, the famous "hills" that provide a nice hike and great views from the top. During your visit, don't forget to keep the park clean! They have plenty of designated trash bins on the trails and along the bike paths. Keep this place beautiful!

The park is always open although you obviously cannot go into the fenced-off areas for the animals. There are dog and kid-friendly events arranged here regularly so keep an eye on their facebook page. This place is true to its name, being an oasis in the city, and a good place for kids (and some adults..) to learn about some animals. There is also a lovely greenhouse as well as a playground. Great place to hang out when the weather is good.

It may not be as impressive as other bridges in Denmark, but it most certainly is the most…read morerecognizable one. It's considered to be an iconic Inner Harbour landmark. It's even prominently featured on the Danish 200 kroner banknote. You'll understand why when you see the weathered copper towers on the drawbridge when crossing over it. The patina color actually blends in with the copper roofs and bronze statues throughout the city. The current bridge was designed by Kaj Gottlob in the 1930s. It's an ode to Hans Knip who lived on and operated an older version of the bridge back in the 17th century. The control tower that was once manned by bridge keepers is now remotely operated. The second tower that housed their sleeping quarters was turned into an attraction called the Culture Tower. Unfortunately, that tower has been closed to the public since June 2024. I didn't see any signs of it being open when we were there in May 2026. We crossed over it a couple of times on our way back to Christianshavn from Kongens Nytorv. There are great views of the Copenhagen Harbour from here. Other than that, it's your typical busy bridge with car, pedestrian, and bike lanes.

Walked past it when taking a walking tour of the city, and used it as a connection point when I had luggage and was headed back to the airport.

Kongens Nytorv is one of Copenhagen's central landmarks; a beautiful and well-kept public square…read moreright next to the jewel of the city, the Nyhavn waterfront. The open space has a calm atmosphere, with a small garden in the middle and majestic historic buildings surrounding it, including the Royal Danish Theatre, Hotel D'Angleterre, and several high-end shops like Rolex. It's a convenient meeting point and a pleasant place to pause while exploring the city. There's even a small pub on the corner, perfect for an Aperol Spritz on a warm afternoon. I don't claim this the most beautiful place in the city, but it's nice to pass through.
