Not great, not terrible. Typical chain steakhouse about average…read more There are not many choices for eating at locally owned restaurants in Gallatin so many locals settle for this which is admittedly better than the competition across the street. Don't let the western decor fool you into thinking there is any level of authenticity to your experience. You are going to get a menu with food quality determined by a mega corporation. Steaks are small, pork chops and chicken are processed. Meat quality overall is definitely low end. We went several nights while here because we didn't feel like driving to Nashville to eat. Very busy on the weekend. Our service was good but the kitchen screwed up a couple of times. Best items were the Old Fashioned, which was a nice stiff cocktail and the baked potato which was perfectly done. Chopped salad was decent and the complimentary bread is good. Skip the pork chops and skip the Texas Tea which was very weak.

The only negatives of the restaurant are: in the last three visits to the Longhorn Restaurant in Gallatin TN there were many customer complaints about the cold air blowing directly on customers which also causes food to get cold (my food turned cold very quickly) and the Ranch Dressing used to be delicious but lately it's too salty to eat. Thanks Autumn for the BEST IN SERVICE!!!

It's is a complete joke for no other reason than they just don't seem to care. Not a staffing issue as I've seen in other reviews in my particular case. Came in yesterday (Saturday) morning alone for breakfast. There were two other tables of 2-3 people in the whole place when I arrived so place was maybe at 10% capacity. Both tables already had their food. There was no staff present when I walked in so I sat at the bar, the bartender was also not present. I sat there for 10 minutes or so before anyone came out. The waitress that did eventually come out but walked by me to check her tables and didn't pay me any attention and then disappeared into the back again. She went back and forth a few times continuing to check tables and not address me or send out the bartender. As I was about to leave she came over without a word, dropped a menu, didn't take a drink order and walked away. I've been here for 30 minutes or so now finally and have a menu and no other acknowledgement I exist. Finally the bartender comes out from the back and asks what he can get me. I ask him for a cup of coffee and before I can say anything else he disappears into the back. I was fully ready to order but figured he was grabbing it and coming right back. He was literally in the back ANOTHER 20 minutes and when he finally returned without the coffee he said he was making a fresh pot. He finally returns with the coffee (in a paper to go cup? This is a sit down morning brunch) and takes my order. I ordered waffles and waited. I've been here nearly an hour now in a practically empty restaurant and just now ordering. Another table comes in, gets sat, and eventually gets their food. I'm still waiting. The bartender pops back out for a second, sees me looking royally pissed at this point and I point at the new table eating and motion back at him like what the hell is going on? He walk over and says "I burned all your waffles and had to start over." Ok... what's it take to cook a waffle... 2-3 minutes? We're 90 minutes deep at this point. Finally someone else appears with my order. Again I will be fair, when I did finally get it the order was pretty good however at this point I had a 10-15 minutes before I had to be somewhere else. I wasn't expecting breakfast to take two hours. I ate about half of it and asked for the check. They dropped it without a word and I paid and left. Let me say I grew up working in restaurants and bars and I can be very understanding of a full restaurant that's understaffed and doing their best. THIS WAS NOT THAT. They literally just did not care. To say this place is grossly mismanaged would to be implied that someone is managing it at all, which doesn't seem to be the case. The food was good but not good enough to deal with this again anytime soon.

We chose to eat inside because I am still recovering from thoracic surgery. We were sat right away and our drink order was taken. We also ordered as we knew what we wanted to eat. My friend chose the Crab Cake Benedict change poached eggs to scrambled eggs. She stated that they were delicious and would order them again with the sweet tea and the home fried potatoes. I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict with coffee... They brought me out French Vanilla Creamer and sugar packets. The coffee was good and strong. That was probably the best Eggs Benedict and home fried potatoes that I have had in a while... Definitely looking forward to going back for Brunch as well as dinner too. Definitely worth the drive!

(Second missed clue). The menus were messy, and drink menus was super sticky. (Third-Degree missed clue). On a positive note, our waitress was great, its the food. The dinner rolls were delicious. The steak... not so much. It was cooked medium rare which is what we asked for, but the color was a bit wierd. The texture was wierd and the look was wierd. Almost congealed looking. Kinda like they cooked it frozen. Not very flavorful either. Now I ordered the salmon and shrimp. The salmon was good, but the shrimp looked wierd. Not pink. I didn't even try. My son had coconut shrimp. That was good. Did I mention our waitress was nice. I'd won't go back. The 2 stars are for. The waitress. Only on for the food and a zero for the cleanliness of the restaurant. Wish I noticed my clues earlier. Before we wasted $96 on this meal. Never again!

Wings were very good, best ive had in Mount Juliet so far, burnt ends were good, we asked for no jalapeños but still got them anyways, had to pick them off since we arent fans of anything spicy. Ribs were tender and cobb salad was a great option minus the guacamole, its obvious its not made fresh and most likely from a jar i expected freshly made guacamole at a restaurant but still decent to eat. Drinks were really good! My boyfriend got the old fashioned and i had wine then a cocktail. Service was subpar, waitress didn't give refills on water and very passive instead of proactive. Will definitely come back to try it out again.
