On August 31, 2023, Tabbutt Asphalt and Paving completed work on my driveway. However, less than a…read moreyear later, a section of the driveway has failed and requires repair. I contacted the company (Joe) in April 2024, and he promised to fix the issue. Despite this assurance, the repair was never completed. In September 2024, I made multiple follow-up requests for the necessary repair work, and again, the company (Joe) claimed he would return to address the issue. After several text exchanges where Joe apologized for missing multiple dates to return and fix, to date, no repairs have been made, and the situation remains unresolved. I am extremely dissatisfied with both the quality of the initial work and the company's lack of follow-through on their promise to rectify the problem. I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone work with this company. Joe claims the repair is due to a faulty retaining wall, which we discussed, multiple times, during his initial estimate and subsequent install of the driveway. Joe even went so far as to "seal" the retaining wall to prevent the exact failure we experience now. I've exhausted my efforts in asking him to keep to his word and complete the repair. I'll be happy to adjust my review if (and when) this issue is ever rectified.

He showed up for one day of work, during which his machine broke down, and he completed only about 25% of the removal job(have not started on stump grinding yet). He then pressured my elderly parents, who are both in their eighties and suffer from Alzheimer's, into paying him $2,000. They are not in a condition to handle high-pressure situations, and I was not present at the time. Given that $2,000 significantly exceeded the value of the work completed, the contractor happily chose not to return and instead began making a series of excuses. At one point, he offered to refund $1,000, but when I tried to collect the refund, he changed his story again saying he will come back to finish but stopped responding to me. It appears he does not keep his words, lie consistently, and is willing to take advantage of vulnerable people whenever the opportunity arises.
