This past week I had a dreaded root canal procedure done by Dr. Citron and his terrific assistant, Ashley. They and their team made my experience very positive! I was greeted by the very efficient and calm receptionist. Even the exam room was welcoming, with several pictures hanging on the ceiling and there was also a huge computer screen directly in front of my exam chair which had an inviting screensaver and which transitioned into a display of all my x-rays when Dr. C came in the room. And within reach was a box of tissues for my trepidacious tears of fear prior to the procedure. 70s/80s music was softly played throughout the office. I brought my own headphones and music which I happily used. After numerous X-rays (one of which was interactive on display, showing where all the problems were from various angles) and several numbing shots in my mouth which were 99% painless because Dr. C placed them perfectly (I've had a couple of instances with past dentists who gave me so much Novocain I felt like I couldn't breathe.) I prefer knowing everything that's going to be done, and Dr. C detailed the procedure and answered all my questions using that really cool interactive X-ray. He was patient with my many questions and animated in his explanations but overall. he had a nice, calm aura. Throughout the procedure he and Ashley were very attentive to my comfort, gentle in their manner, and very focused and professional, and Dr. C gave me to countdown to finish several times which I really appreciated! It was a much better experience than expected and the best I could have wished for!! Yes, I definitely very highly recommend Dr. Citron if you need a root canal!

I landed on Care Dental, and made my appointment as a new patient using their easy scheduling page, and I had an appointment a day later at my time of choosing. With little wait, I was guided by a very friendly, professional dental technician for X-rays and then led to a very nice dental chair with a view. In summary, this was the most comfortable, professional, smooth, painless, honest (she was direct about the damage my neglect had caused without being harsh about it), and kind dental experience that I have ever had. I came in for a consult and the guy spent about 3 minutes with me and his receptionist came…read moreback with an estimate for a root canal with an additional fee of over $500 because, as she explained, I needed a deeper cleaning then a regular root canal. I asked to talk to the dr about it and was told to wait but after 20 minutes of waiting I had to leave. I came back and had it done. About a month ago the pain came back. I went to my dentist and got x-rays and they told me to go back to Dr. Fein as he should be open to redoing the work if it wasn't done correctly. I go see him today and immediately he claimed that the pain was due to the filling my dentist did being done incorrectly or a new infection. He wouldn't even think that it may have not been done fully or he may have missed something. I was told coldly that I could have it retreated, at my own cost. He would absolutely not do anything unless I paid for it. I sent an email regarding thei to he and my dentist in which Dr. Fein replied and denied he had charged me for a deep cleaning and that he never said that my filling wasn't done correctly. He made up a bunch of words and replied to the email. It was in total BS. He actually lied in this email! Read the good reviews but also read the bad ones. This guy apparently does a good job on most but anyone he doesn't do a good job on is refused any type of follow up care or refund. It's a crap shoot and too expensive of one to take. This guy took way more time in replying to my email and lying about what he said then he ever took explaining the bill or the process to me. He words his response email as though he is so professional. He's not. I guarantee he charges everyone an extra "deep cleaning fee" whether they need it or not. Go elsewhere!
