Richard spent quite a bit of time working on my piano, which likely had not been tuned in this century. I think the last time the piano was cared for was in the 90s. It's been in Ohio, Hawaii for almost 30 years and here in California for 8. The keys were all frozen and all sitting at different levels like teeth from a carnival. Richard carefully cleaned the corrosion off of all 88 keys, a process that involved removing and addressing the corroded lead on each key. And afterwards he tuned the piano and it now sounds amazing. He used an electric device to ensure it was tuned properly and also made suggestions that took into account my current needs for the piano. Because the strings are old, he took care not to do a pitch raise that may break strings and be more costly to repair. He also told me when I should get my next tuning.
