That seemed reasonable, but over the course of our conversation, the quote just kept going up, even though none of my information had changed. Reasons I was given were that they had "forgotten to look up the drive time" before they gave me the initial quote, and then that they had to check with "their team," who told them they had to raise their rates even more. I asked if they could honor their original quote, or even the second quote they'd given me ($550), but they refused and told me $750 was the new lowest they could go. It was frustrating to spend the day going back and forth with them trying to nail things down only to have them keep moving the goalposts on cost. If it went up $300 over the course of our conversation (again, with absolutely nothing changing on my end), I hate to think how much more it would have gone up or what new surcharges they would have found a way to apply if I'd actually wound up using them for my move. They were prompt in their responses and pleasant to talk with - and they might be great movers, I wouldn't know! I just wouldn't trust them to stick to their quotes.

We had someone come out with carpet samples and to measure for a quote…read more -The quote provided indicated that the square footage was much higher than the other two companies we ended up getting quotes from and since the charge is per square foot it added a ton to the total. -I noticed that the quote included the cost to take out carpet in all rooms but there were two rooms that had no carpet to be taken out. -We asked for help picking a carpet to install and it turns out the one recommended does not meet any of our needs and would have been a big problem. -Then he said the carpet would be ordered and could be installed the next week since we were in a rush. 5 days later he hadn't ordered the carpet and we started shopping other companies. -The quote said that if we are talking to any companies let them know since they would beat or match reasonable competitive quotes but once I mentioned we were shopping around the guy stopped responding and I'm glad he did so we didn't get stuck overpaying for a carpet that isn't right for us

Initial call the guy was asking unrelated questions such as, if I was the owner or tenant, what the landlords name was, etc. Later he called to request a different time, which i accomodated. Day of appt, tech called 40 mins early stating he was there are we good to start then? I said no. I was actually going to call & request they come at 2 or later. (We had initially agreed on arrival time of 1330-1400.) He starts repeatedly asking me what i was doing & where i was going (i had told him i had a couple things to do). Then he starts w/an assertive tone & says they were scheduled between 1 & 2 (which was inaccurate. It was 1330-1400). At first he said he had nothing going on-does he have time to get food. I said yeah , let me finish this 1 thing & Ill call u. then he changed & said he's not gonna wait around all afternoon, i'll see u at 1330. I said probably not, but Ill be there when I get there. At that point I lost confidence in their ability to complete the job. So i immediately called him back, told him i was cancelling the service, he acknowledged & i hung up. Then they start repeatedly texting/calling wanting to return, which I ignored. Even two days later, I got a voicemail claiming I stood them up, never called, and left their worker idle -- none of which is accurate. I cancelled immediately and communicated that cancellation directly. My time was wasted & it cost me extra money too.

The clock needed to be moved upright with all the weights and pendulum taken out and packed at pickup location and then put back together at receiving end. David and Chance (?) were very polite, professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves and worked quickly. The communicated well via text regarding timing and specifics. Highly recommend and will use again if we ever need care with moving items in the future.
