I called to…read moremake my 1st appointment and had it all set up with the friendly assistant... and then she asked how I had heard about atlas work and I ANECDOTALLY SHARED that my friend had mentioned that she had heard good things about Dr. Hejny AFTER I TOLD HER I WAS THINKING OF SEEING HIM! . Then things got weird on the phone with the assistant. She got awkward and said that I couldn't see Dr. Hejny because my friend actually sees another doctor in the building (Dr. Berg). So basically, because I mentioned my friend, I would have to see Dr. Berg. I laughed and clarified that I had done all my own research and that my friend had just mentioned that she knew Dr. Hejny. I had no idea who her doctor was and ONLY mentioned her name in case she got something out of my mentioning her. I WAS A NEW PATIENT. I DID MY OWN RESEARCH AND CHOSE DR. HEJNY. I KNEW NOTHING OF DR. BERG AT ALL! I HAVE A RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHO I (A UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL) WOULD LIKE TO SEE. The assistant told me she would have to have a meeting with the office manager to determine if I was "allowed" to see Dr. Hejny. Now (one week later) I was told that he would not accept me as a new patient because I had mentioned my friend's name. I would have to see Dr. Berg instead. (Who I knew nothing of, because they have separate websites!) That is ridiculous. I will not be bullied into seeing a Dr. that I did not choose... It would hinder the relationship from the start. So now I can't experience the benefits of Dr. Hejny' s work because two doctors want to claim property rights on patients. I am not property, and I will never go to a clinic that revokes my right to choose my care provider. Grow up and learn to play in the sandbox together. So thank you for nothing, Dr. Hejny and Dr. Berg. Dr. Hejny, I had really been looking forward to meeting you so that I could experience atlas care, and it's kind of unbelievable to have been rejected. Dr. Berg, I will not make an appointment with you because this makes me feel like cattle that has been branded before I've even stepped onto the farm. If you both step back and look at how this appears to a new patient, I think you'll see how foolish it is for you to take away my options before I've ever stepped into your clinic.

I first…read moreheard about Dr. Hejny from a client of mine who presented with a hip issue, seemingly out of the blue. I worked on him for over a year with this issue as did another massage therapist who specializes in postural restoration but we could not make his hip feel better for more than a day or two. Finally, the day came when he announced to me that his hip pain was miraculously gone. He went on to explain with much joy and near befuddlement that he'd gone to see a chiropractor who specialized in "atlas adjustment" and that he was laid on his side on a table and a small metal rod the size of a pencil came down and tapped him painlessly behind his ear. When he got up, the hip pain that had been plaguing him for so long was gone. I have to admit, I was a little incredulous. But he gave me Dr. Hejny's information and I did a little research. As a bodyworker, I have a pretty good understanding of anatomy but I truly had no idea that our Atlas bone, aka C1, that sits just below our skulls, cannot be adjusted by hand with any kind of accuracy and that although I've been seeing chiropractors regularly since I was a teenager mine had never been addressed, or even mentioned. It was very interesting and compelling information, but, as with so many things in life, I quickly forgot about it and carried on. About a year later I was working on a nurse practitioner who asked me if I'd ever heard of Orthogonal Chiropractics. I said I had but I'd since forgotten about it. She gushed and highly recommended that I consider seeing Dr. Hejny saying "It's a total game-changer." Not a week later I had another nurse bring it up again, this time saying "He's amazing! It will change your life." Now, when you hear such things, you really must pay attention so I took my cue from the universe and this time did some serious research, learning all I could. It became quickly evident that this was a brilliant, stupidly obvious but completely overlooked, simple approach to body alignment. I then started noticing how many of my clients, who were complaining of knee, hip, low back, foot, etc. issues, often had necks that did not quite line up with their spine. I began asking as they laid face-up on my table and I sat at their heads looking down their bodies if they thought their head felt straight and lined up with their spine. Most would say yes. I would then take their heads and shift it to line up squarely and inevitably the client would find that uncomfortable and report as feeling crooked. Hm! I also started noticing how most people's leg lengths were different so I began recommending many of my clients go see Dr. Hejny, even though I'd never even so much as spoken to him. As more and more of my clients saw him I began hearing, feeling and seeing amazing things with them. Again, I was hearing "It's a total game-changer" or "he has given me my life back" and they were so grateful for my recommendation to see him. My clients kept encouraging me to go but I didn't feel the need until I began having some serious issues that no stretching or massage could fix. Finally, I had to go. Without making this review far too long for anyone to read (wait, did that happen about 3 paragraphs back?! My apologies...but, in for a penny, in for a pound as they say!) my experience was exceptional in every aspect, and in many ways, I would never, ever have anticipated. First of all, meeting Dr. Hejny was pure joy. I could see and hear the passion he has for what he does. He knows that he is doing exactly what he was put on this earth to do and that what he is doing is far beyond normal chiropractics. You can clearly see that the relief he is providing for so many who thought there was no relief to be found fills his soul. He is incredibly intelligent and understands the body and all the intricate relationships within. He is compassionate, patient and committed to helping his clients find their way to wellness and just plain feeling good. I'm 55 years old and quite overweight. With every passing year I've been feeling more and more pain in my back, in my knees, in my feet...so many places. I'd resigned myself, accepting that with age (and weight) life just hurts more and I'll power through. Until I had my very crooked atlas adjusted by Dr. Hejny and his brilliantly designed orthogonal machine. It was like the clouds parted, the sun came out and the birds were rejoicing! My horrible foot pain was gone immediately. My knee pain took a couple of weeks. My chronic back injury wasn't waking me at night anymore when I tried to turn. Even the hearing in my right ear improved! Crazy AWESOME! It truly has changed my life, just like everyone said it would! Dr. Alvord has many techniques based on patients' comfort levels. He is able to do soft adjustments and normal adjustments. He also checks my baby too by using a special gadget. I have had two fairly severe Trigger Fingers for many years - Right hand middle and ring fingers…read more These were both getting worse, one frequently locking up on me. Inconvenient and painful! I researched Hand doctors and even had surgery scheduled but a previous bad experience in an operating room left me with much apprehension so I cancelled that. I found Dr. Jon Norberg in an internet search offering just what I wanted - Office based "wide-awake" surgery for these hand (and other) conditions. After a consultation I made an appointment and had both finger pulleys "released" on August 17. 2022. It was easy as can be, with me keeping all my clothes on and hand sterilized/arm draped. He uses a local anesthetic of lidocaine and epinephrine and my hand went totally numb - and as I was very interested, he even let me watch the whole procedure, explaining what he was doing as he went. The small incision that took care of both fingers was made along the crease in the palm of my hand and now I can hardly see it.....no ugly scars vertically or horizontally, and it looks like my hand did before the procedure! Dr. Norberg did an excellent job, and I don't give praise out easily. He's really good! I had the three stitches taken out a week later and aside from having to keep the hand dry for a few days and do some special stretching exercises, it was all good. Every day showed more improvement and with only slight lifting restrictions, my hand was immediately working as it was supposed to, no more trigger fingers, no more pain! Quick and easy! I just went back this week for my 6 week check and he graduated me to the "healed" status. Honestly, the best part about this is that there is no hospital operating room, no stress, it is all done in a small office set up for these procedures, all local anesthetic and as such is quite a friendly atmosphere. Dr. Norberg and his staff are also all very personable, all confident and low-key. I felt like I was among friends and that made for an awesome experience. Dr. Norberg and staff, thanks so much for all you have done for me and for making these "wide awake, office based surgeries" more available to patients like me. To anyone with apprehensions (or not) and looking for easier solutions to hand, wrist, elbow and upper arm problems, I highly recommend you check with Dr. norberg - IMHO, he is the best I have found! The attached image is of my right hand six weeks post-surgery. You can barely see a slight pink scar along the crease and that gets lighter every day.

Came to TCO Plymouth for Spinal PT after an MRI and mild back pain. I had a poor experience at the…read moreOrtho where I got my MRI, so I thought I'd try TCO. I was able to get an appointment with Mike quickly and easily by calling. I arrived on time and was taken into my appointment minutes after check-in - the facility is clean and modern, all of the staff were kind and helpful. I spent an hour with Mike and had a wonderful experience! He was able to read through my MRI summary I brought and take me through what they found (after having a poor reading from the original ortho). He eased my worries and was able to find the source of my pain quickly with a series of exercises and pressure points. We rolled through multiple therapeutic exercises, where Mike made sure I wasn't in excruciating pain but working the area needed. He checked my form and even helped me check my lifting form since I indicated it was something I do in my free time. On top of it all, Mike was friendly, kind and helpful. I left feeling refreshed and ready to start my plan. He also wasn't pushy about scheduling another appointment since my issues were mild. If needed, I will definitely be back and recommend to others!

I have never had an experience with a Dr. that was at this level of disrespect. Dr. Bircher came…read morein, made assumptions and accusations about me. He categorized me in a group without asking questions or trying to learn about me or my prior medical diagnoses. When I told him he was being disrespectful and he didn't know me, he said he is stating facts. He is arrogant, rude and verbally abusive. He does not accept any responsibility for his behavior, rather gaslights and defends it. I will never see him again nor do I recommend him for any reason.
