There was an area rug that got wet. Definitely my fault. They were here for about 2 1/2 hours and got the water up. They took the floorboards out of my half bath and the vanity out and put in a heater and some type of metal things on the floor. In the basement they put fans and a heater and used my dehumidifier. This was on a Sunday. They came back on Wednesday to check if everything was dry. That man was here for about 15 minutes. I asked him at that time if he had any idea of what the cost would be and my recollection was that he told me maybe around two which I took to mean $2000. They didn't come back again until Friday when they took all their equipment out of here. I then got an invoice from them a few days later for $3147. If they had just come and shut the water off and told me how much it would be I never would've hired them. I have two wet vacs and could've easily gotten the water up and I could've bought fans and heaters for that amount of money. When I called to complain about it, they told me that the man had told me that it would be between two and three but it wasn't in their notes Everyone I have talked to about this has said it was an outrageous amount that they charged including people that work in that field and plumbers. I hate to think what they charged people that had actual floods in their basement from all the rain. I would definitely try other companies.

Serv Pro did come out the following day, stood in one spot and looked around and did absolutely nothing. They dragged their feet, finally on 08/19 did they have someone come out and take down our affected ceilings. Once that was completed, they said it would be another two weeks to remove flooring and set up fans. This should have been scheduled earlier so they could have came right in after the ceiling was done. Two MONTHS after the initial water damage we will set up fans???? Needless to say I have told them I no longer need their services. Terrible service!

I tried to contact corporate several times to discuss problems with the franchise I was working with out of Gaylord MI and was always told someone would call me back. No one ever called back. There are many people in my area with horror stories about Servpro. After 9 months my home is still far from done and has even more damage that was caused by Serpro! Of coarse they claim "our guys wouldn't do that". Because of this I have been forced to start a lawsuit. I have lots of photos from day one fortunately to prove my claims.

Called many mold mitigation companies, but only one responded. Thankfully it was the right company. Sean sent his mold inspector Jacob out to assess, who discovered a few holes in the roof where it met that wall. He found water behind the drywall. Turned out that the entire wall and part of the roof needed to be replaced. That team worked quickly and efficiently. Another team came out and replaced the drywall. Wow! Finally, another team removed all of my many frames, canvases, paints, easels, old paintings, etc. to a storage trailer, painted the entire studio, and when dry, carefully returned all of the stuff and took with them the plastic covers and debris. I am truly grateful to have had this company come when others wouldn't, and then to have them do such a spectacular job. Amazing! They gave us a one page contract days after Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers (after falsely claiming they were referred by our insurance company). They asked for our signature on that one page at the end of services, and then submitted a second page to our insurance company (that coincidentally didn't require a signature) but only required customer initials, that they then FORGED our initials on that second, tiny worded page making it appear we read and agreed to these add'l terms. This 2nd page is where you'll find their real "contract". My advice, do not believe a word the field rep tells you and ask for that 2nd page.
