I went to this clinic after my eye suddenly became severely swollen while I was up north. Choosing this clinic turned out to be a big mistake. At my first visit, the doctor prescribed over-the-counter antihistamine eye drops. They did nothing to help. The next day, I spoke with a second doctor from the same clinic. Without even seeing me, he told me he would not recommend those drops and said he would have used a steroid instead. By day three, there was still no improvement. I was then seen again by the second doctor, who was visibly surprised by the condition of my eye and decided I needed antibiotics at that point. After all of this, I contacted management to express concern about the inconsistent care and delays. Rather than addressing what happened, I was told the doctors did nothing wrong and that this is "the best clinic in Minnesota" and that they are "customer-centered." Nothing about my experience reflects that. Conflicting medical advice, delayed effective treatment, and a dismissive response from management are not acceptable when someone is dealing with a serious eye issue. I would strongly recommend avoiding this clinic. read more

I'm going to start off by saying I am an anxiety ridden person when it comes to going in to get my eyes checked, which makes me more reactive than pro active when going in for eye care. That being said, from the time I walked in through the door, the Richie eye team was courteous and professional. Dr. Spedding also took the time to answer all of my questions and put me at ease with his professional yet simplified explanations to help me understand what was really going on with my eyes. I will definitely be recommending them and just wanted to say thank you for your kindness and understanding. read more

Dr. Michael Richie is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in laser vision correction (LASIK and PRK) and cataract surgery, especially refractive cataract surgery using high technology multifocal and toric lens implants. He incorporates his years of LASIK experience into his cataract surgery, creating personalized advanced surgical plans unique to each individual patient for correcting astigmatism, dealing with reading, and honing visual outcomes. After graduating from St John's University, Dr. Richie received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, followed by an Internship at Hennepin County Medical Center and a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Eye Institute, The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. We started the payment process and they had problems processing our UCARE rewards cards and our credit card. They were unable to complete the order. They forwarded the issue to their audit department. Their response was that they transaction did not go through and we would have to wait 30 days for the money that was debited from our reward cards to returned.
