The service was extremely nice and friendly. We loved the veggie dog - although it was quite light, it was very tasty and had lots of cilantro, other spices and salted peanuts in it. Nothing in it was hot and it was mere a bun with some filling, but it was lovely anyway. There are nice drinks with funny names and some Asian beer in the list too. The prices are pretty high and if you are very hungry, the hot dogs and kimchi won't really fill your stomach - but I really recommend tasting! Huge thanks for the music which wasn't playing too loud in the "backroom" where we were sitting in. We really were able to chat with each other without shouting over the music - this is rare in pubs and worth of praise. This was my first visit but I will definitely come back. There are only few places with this kind of atmosphere in Helsinki.

In fact, they only have a few. Meat or veggie dog, served on a short bun, covered in wasabi mayo and Sriracha ketchup, with crispy fried onions. Amazingly delicious. I swear, you might be able to eat 100 of these dogs, 'cause they're not very big- but they pack in the flavor. They also serve craft cocktails. With an aperitif cocktail on tap (never seen that one before!) they can make all kinds of crazy mixologist concoctions. I opted for the beer- which was very cheap, but it came out in a half-pour. Perfect for last call. The interior looks like an Ed Hardy Japanese shirt factory exploded. They have weird prints of Japanese tattoos, and Asian street art that's interesting to check out. The place is welcoming, and the staff is friendly- they obviously know their cocktails, with homemade ingredients and properly sized chunks of ice in the proper cups.

It's on the outside of a small food mall, which also includes a Subway, Hessburger and a steak house. The Little Big Cafe offers an incredible hot dog experience. We opted for their signature Kassler Dog, which is a hot dog wrapped in ham, and prepared with a sticky, sweet BBQ sauce, a sugary mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard. The hot dog bun is more of a multi-grain, french roll...fresh and delicious. If you have a hot dog craving, this is the place to try. #LittleBigCafe is not the easiest place to find, but with Google Maps on my iPhone, I had no problem walking to it from the city center. If you plan to walk, wear good walking shoes: It's about 2.5km from the center.

You can either decide on one of the three normal lunch offer of which one is always either a salad or soup. Otherwise get one of their delicious pies, sandwiches or especially hot dogs that come in many different kinds. They also have nice deserts if you are up for something sweet afterwards. During the winter you can only visit their cafe on the second floor. In spring they also open an outside take-away that offers some other food as well.
