Pretty amazed that these guys are still in business. I went in for a haircut. The guy spent all but 5 minutes and the result was THE WORST haircut I've ever gotten. Worse than my self cut. On top of that, he added 25% tip on top of the charge; that's what I usually tip but I do not appreciate it when it's automatically applied. I'm going to need to trim my hair down to maybe a quarter inch to fix the cut now. Absolutely horrid. I hadn't heard good things about Richmond Barbers but I decided to go in yesterday around noon because I needed a haircut and my normal barber was taking the day off, worst hair cut I've ever had. My barber didn't tell me his name but he's a brown man in the middle of the shop, he took my glasses off my face without asking and put them on his table where he could have just asked me instead of being so aggressive, I asked for a wavey high fade and ended up with a military haircut, from other reviews this seems to be a common theme, why even ask what people want if you're just going to give everyone the same style? read more

This is probably my favorite barber shop anywhere I traveled. It's an old school barber shop that has probably been around longer than the mall, where you still get to know your barber and get a shoulder massage after your haircut. I know who I want to cut my hair there and it's never an issue if you want to wait for your favorite barber. It always got done the way I liked it. Thanks guys! Was very unfortunate to run into two very rude employees that works at Richmond Barbers. Not sure their names but both were a bit large, had receding hairlines, one with a bald spot on the back of his head and the other had a missing patch of hair on the right corner of his head. Just wanted to advise that it doesn't look good for a company to employ such disrespectful people. read more

Worst customer service ever. They can only do the shave cut. If you ask anything more, they don't know how to do it. They will just tel you to listen to him. He know his stuff. Probably the worse barbers you could go to... one of the employees tried joking with me but the joke was a very offensive insult to me. I asked for a fade and trim a bit on the top but I unfortunately recieved a bowl cut. I've been getting my hair cut here my whole life. Literally before my brain could process memory I've been parking my bus on those classic cushy barber chairs. You're not going to beat the price and a lot of the barbers have been there over 10+ some 20+ years so there is no lack of skill behind the clippers. My own mother insisted I go to a salon and get my hair 'styled', went to some girl twice and she made me look like shark boy from "The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lava Girl 3-D". Went for my second time here. My first haircut was a while back and I remember it was fairly average. Considering the cheap price, I thought it would be acceptable to go back for a quick cut. Nope, the barber was rough and choppy with my hair. While it wasn't very obvious at the barbershop, I noticed that he left my hair uneven with clumps of hair that was longer than the area around it. Had to get out a scissor to fix it when I got home just to make myself presentable. read more

Best barber in town!! No question. Ted, Andrew, and Kostas kill it everytime. Be patient, as lines can be long. If you can pop in on a weekday, you'll wait far less. Either way, its worth while. You will leave happy. Grab a treat on the way out. This is a sweet spot. read more

Now these guys have been here for YYEEAARRSS!! Located in Richmond Center mall lies one of the oldest running businesses at RC,.. now i only say that because i've been getting my haircut here since i was 5 years old! and the guy (Gary) how cut my hair is STILL there!. hasn't changed a bit.... well... accept for some grey hairs here and there... just an old school barber shop where u sit there, get your hair did, shoot the shit and watch sports on TV... Truly a mans domain. lol... Again I ONLY say that because in all my years ive NEVER and i mean NEVER seen a Girl up in there!! Oh and another cool thing about this place is at the end of your cut, your barber puts on this nifty hand massager and massages your shoulders which makes it a pretty nice touch... a little creepy.... but a nice touch! :) (no pun intended btw) read more

Barber? More like butcher! I would hardly call my hair cut anything except a disaster. I came in for a mens trim and it should have been simple and quick for anyone with even a low skill level! The barber was rude and completely unprofessional, and could not fix what he had done. Stay away and find a reputable barber somewhere else. I went to this place on Sunday. I usually don't get my hair cut there but since I was at Richmond Centre anyways, I thought why not. There were a few people getting their hair cut and it seemed that the atmosphere of the place was rather quiet and chill. All good. Then I got my hair cut. Wow. First of the man was very rough with my hair which got me a bit tense. I asked him to cut the sides and back, trim the top, and LEAVE my bangs. He cut the sides and back rather to my satisfaction, and the suddenly chopped of my bangs, He did it so quickly and cut off so much that I didn't even know what to say. Long story short I came out of the barber shop looking like a six year old (I'm 18 and usually am thought to be older) and cannot be more upset. Final scope, Unless you are retired have little hair left and even less money, don't go here. terrible. I would much rather pay 3 dollars more and get my hair cut at Lansdown or somewhere else. read more

My wife took my son for a haircut on Saturday afternoon, in the end my son's hair looked horrible . Not even , all chopped up. My wife told the barber the hair on the top didn't look even at all and the barber turns around and tells my wife yes it is , sprays water on the the hair and messes it up and says it looks good. I just had my hair done for the first time, and it will be my last.  Man the Persian barber is terrible and I mean quite literally.  It's like he's trying to show he's the fastest barber in the Middle East or something.  His expressions are emotionless and the only tool he relies on is the razor and nothing else.  For gods sake if you don't enjoy your job go find yourself another profession.  He's working there like someone forced him to be there.  Anybody who goes here to get a haircut should avoid him at all costs or you will end up like crusty the clown.  Don't say I didn't warn you. read more

Hit and miss. It really depends on who you get as your barber. Dropped by late on 20th and Jeff butchered my hair. Looks like a yam. Literally took a #5 slider and buzzed the top along skull contours with zero care. No vacuum cleaning and no shoulder massage. Sometimes, I catch Andrew and he is patient. He listens and will actually do the finishing touches. You're paying for convenience but you might not want to pay to get your hair butchered. Pick wisely. read more

I had the worst experience those 3 times I visited. They either butchered my hair or the other times just a bad cut. They never seem to get it right. For example I had one barber messed up the cut badly and asked him to fix it and refuses to because he states that my hair is not meant for the haircut. That is just bad customer service and unprofessionalism. I ended up getting fixed in a different barbershop that I ended up liking. read more

I have been going to Richmond Barbers for probably 30 years - or almost all of my life. Gerry and Petros are great. The other guys are kind of hit or miss. I keep going because the mall hours are convenient and at $15 the price is right for a "good enough" haircut. Good enough as in, probably a bit rushed, and I probably need to do some "fixing" when I get home. That is, some spots are missed and I need to trim with scissors in front of the mirror. Poor service. The person I had was Ted. It could have been a 10 minute haircut but he dragged it to half an hour. Every couple of cuts he turn to his cell phone and stood there reading or typing. I started out asking for short and spiky cut. After 25 minutes all he did was cut the back side short and a little trim on the front banks. He showed me the mirror and expected it the be done and I said I wanted it shorter and spiky. He replied "why didn't you say so at the beginning". I did, you were too busy playing with your phone. First time going to the shop because my barber was on vacation and I really had to get a haircut last minute. The barber I got was (Middle Eastern guy/ don't know his name) very rough and didn't pay attention to the detail. First time getting a haircut in less than 5 minutes considering I have thick hair.
