My grandma was here for 7 weeks recovering from a broken shoulder and neck. She went to the hospital from pneumonia at the end and found out she had bedsores, hadn't been bathed or fed for 3-4 days and had terrible thrush in her mouth from teeth not being brushed for weeks as she wasn't capable of doing it herself or taking care of her ADL's. While a lot of the staff are pleasant and friendly they neglect the people there and are understaffed and the facility reeks. She is no longer here as she has moved to the springs in Richmond and is much happier. They also dis enrolled her from her medical plan and drug coverage without my approval as her POA. The name has changed from heritage house and is still going off the cms ratings of it being a high performing facility which is not true. I mainly came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning and checkup. It was 8 am on a weekday, and there were already quite a lot patients waiting. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait too long before being taken to the exam room. First, Kylie and Katlyn took my X-rays and 3D anatomy scan. They were both skilled and made the process comfortable. I did have some trouble with my gag reflex during certain angles of the X-rays, but overall I was satisfied with the experience. Next, Megan was my dental hygienist. She provided great education about gingivitis and examined and cleaned my teeth with care. However, the cleaning itself wasn't the most thorough I've ever had. It felt like more time and effort was spent scraping the surfaces of my teeth and less time cleaning the areas between my gums and teeth. She did follow up with thorough flossing and rinsing. For comparison, the most thorough cleaning I've had in the past involved spending a decent amount of time on both areas (gums and teeth). After the cleaning, Megan offered me an oral cancer screening and fluoride treatment. I was under the impression that both would be covered by my dental insurance, but I ended up having to pay $63 out of pocket for the 2 services at checkout. I was surprised by this and wish I had been informed about the cost before receiving these services. Lastly, my dentist Dr. Kiesel came in to examine my teeth and apply the fluoride treatment. He gave me the same recommendation regarding my wisdom teeth as my previous dentists, but also provided some additional insights that I found very helpful. Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish, including the scheduling process. I originally had an appointment scheduled 2 months out, but they kindly rescheduled me to the last available appointment this month after I made a last-minute request as a new patient. I really appreciated their flexibility and accommodation. One of the biggest advantages of this clinic is its technology. They seem to have some of the most advanced dental technology I've ever experienced, including the oral cancer diagnostic equipment. It made the visit feel very modern and professional. My appointment took a total of 1 hour and a half. Reasonable because I'm a new patient and needed imagings done. I've already scheduled my next follow-up appointment for next year and look forward to returning.

The front desk staff needs work, though, hence only three stars overall. Personality wise, it's always a lukewarm, if not a cool reception when you first walk in. There is absolutely nothing worse than standing right in front of the receptionist only to be greeted by nothing but silence. I know you know I am there, I am standing inches of front of you! The office isn't that big! You feel like such an inconvenience to them, like "How dare you interrupt my web-surfing!!" Look, I am no diva and I don't expect a red carpet roll-out upon my arrival. What any business owes it's customers is very basic manners. A simple, courteous, "Hello, I will be right with you" goes a long way! It's too bad that the front office staff doesn't reperesent Dr. Ingram very well. I will continue to go there since ultimately its the dentist and his work that matters. I've been in several times, so I thought I would wait until writing a review thinking maybe they were having an "off" day and maybe it would change. I don't know if the front office is unhappy or if they're just emotionless worker bees. The energy they convey dings them a few stars, though.

If it wasn't for my wife being at my bedside 24 / 7 more then half of the calls for (needed help) would have left me in dire pain. Three times the food service took my food without asking if I was done, I ALWAYS had to rely on my wife to assist me to the rest room. Half the time when I pressed the call button, it took over 15 minutes before a nurse came in and helped. (even in the middle of the damn night). My doctor was awesome, and some of the residents were ok, but one thing I found sad is - the doctor order 'leaches' to help try to save my crushed finger and a dietitian had to come in and put them on my finger - NONE of the nurses would do it. As for the birthing center (and this was 18 years ago), they did good, but who knows now how they are. If it wasn't for my doctor, they would get one less star....

Since they were not a…read morepreferred provider for my new insurance I asked for an estimate of my out of pocket prior to the appointment. The response I received in writing stated, "I got all your insurance info and from looking at your benefits I'm guessing you'll have to pay out of pocket around $15.00-25.00." Due to this quote I kept the appointment. When I received my bill my total out of pocket was $166. When I tried to discuss it with them they became incredibly rude and refused to acknowledge their error, stating it was just a guess and I would need to argue the charges with my insurance company or my employer's human resources department. I don't know how you can quote a tenth of what you actually charge a customer and feel you did nothing wrong. This is incredibly unethical and I would avoid this establishment at all costs.

I had no plans on visiting Henry Community Health on July 21, 2020 but plans are made and changed…read more I was just walking down stairs and received a quad injury. What seemed like for ever but was just minutes I was in the back of a ambulance and off to Emergency Room. I was in a great deal of pain and they were able to control and get the test ran that were greatly needed. The Doctor and staff through running several test and exams were able to find my injuries. Severe sprain on right ankle. I had also torn my quadricep tendon. Unfortunately, that met surgery and quickly. Good news for my family and I was we didn't have to be transferred to another hospital to see a specialist. HCH has a Doctor in house that could to the surgery. Dr. Kyle Siewert came in and completed my surgery. I was than moved to progressive care for the remainder of my stay. Was treated wonderfully by staff from many departments. Before they would leave the room they all asked if there was anything I needed. So now up to go home day. What is my future going to be. Well before leaving HCH had arranged for a wheelchair and walker to be delivered to HCH to assist me in my home care needs. HCH also arranged for in home therapy. I have had 6 visits with them so far and have seen improvements. I must say I am extremely happy. So I said all that to say this. Henry and surrounding counties if you think this rural hospital is just that a rural/farm hospital your wrong. Henry Community Health has an array of specialists and you should take complete advantage of what our community has to offer and spread the word.

And not from just the receptionist or the person taking my vitals or even the nurses and Doctor herself. I sampled away feeling they did everything they could as quickly as they could to make my pain minimum to try their best to making it all go away. They actually had compassion!!!!! Every single person I came in to contact was beyond sweet and ready quickly to help me out! I have Gastroparesis. My flare up lasted for three weeks causing me to lose twenty pounds or so. The pain was more intense then I'd ever fel before in my lode. I want med to quit and just give up. They made this visit beyond amazing and it was caring for me not just another patient!!!! This whole night crew was phenomenal!!! I can't express the wonderful experience I had tonight! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. Will definitely return if needed
