Of course no one wanted to have their car window smashed in by some idiot that thinks they're going to make some money on something they might find in your car. But it happened and we had to get it fixed. It's not my first time getting a window fixed, but first time with this company. This happened in the middle of the night on a Friday. Woke up to it on Saturday. Called as soon as they opened cause I found them on Yelp and people said it was quick and they did it that day. I had to wait till Monday. Sylvia asked all the details of the window(location, whether it was tinted, etc). Price was going to be $207. So Monday comes and I take it in. When inside I see a small taped to the counter note saying that there's a 3% discount if you pay in cash. So I made a mental note to get cash. When I went to pick up the car, they still told me $207. I said, well I have cash. She said, "that is the cash price". Ok I guess they just tack on 3% if you don't have cash? Just didn't make sense. The note should've said that there would be an additional 3% added if paid by credit or debit card. Then, which I didn't notice cause it's my bfs car, the windows tint wasn't the same as the other windows. Then on further inspection, you would think for $207 and it only taking 20 minutes for them to fix it, they would vacuum all the glass out. Nope. We had to take it to get it all vacuumed out. Like I said, years ago my car window was broken into and I remember not finding one piece of glass left over. It just seems like something to expect to be done, I guess because that's what a different company did for me. I think I'd shop around more next time this happens. read more

I was quoted to replace a windshield on my vehicle that was much higher than safelite. I didn't mind paying for it since safelite didn't have the date/time I needed available and also the molding and clips that's for my car. I called rich auto glass and they ensured me that they have the clips I needed. I went there to replaced my windshield and after they were done they told me they don't have the clips that's needed and it's only available from the dealer. They informed me that they were going to order the clips and will give me a call when they have it. In the meantime, they said they will hold onto the molding since they don't recommend putting them on without the clips. Fast forward to over a month and still no call so I gave them a call instead. They had no idea what I was talking about. I explained to them what was going on and they told me that I was supposed to order my own clips and bring it so they can install them. I was told completely different at the time of service. On top of that, I paid them the full pricing they quoted me that included the clips. Since I didn't want to go back and forth, I just asked for my molding back and go the clips myself to installed it. They never offered any apology or even a discount. I felt cheated. It's unfortunate since this was my second car that I brought it. I had a great experience the first time. Second time around no so much. I would not go back for next time. read more

I do not recommend this place. The glass they use is not even the same one that comes with the car. After they finish fixing the glass, they left smudges and the inside of my car there was a part that was coming off. Poor quality glass, poor quality job done on my car. Don't let Ray or Mike work on your car, and if you do keep an eye on them. One of them is a thief. I had a bunk window replaced on my Volvo truck, and left my Micheal Kors watch on the shelf behind the driver seat, above the fridge cubby, next to my moist wipes on a stack of napkins, where I always put it before I lay down. I dropped my truck at Affinity truck center on Friday, and realized I had left my wristwear on my way home. I figured why worry it'll be there when I return, nothings ever came up missing before...WRONG. when I got my truck back the following week the watch was nowhere to be found. I reported the missing item to Affinity, they said they had no reason to go in the truck, all they did was unlock the vehicle for Rich's, which was totally plausible. No recourse there. I then went to Rich's, where Rich confronted Mike who really looked offened that I would even suggest this, but wouldn't look me in my eyes, and mumbled some bullshit and immediately fled the scene, no " sorry for your loss", or " I wish I could help", just I'm outta here. Ray was out, so they phoned him...of course he denied it. The course of action should have been, take a decription and picture, sit back and wait for the culprit to wear it. Anyways one of those cats is a thief, and I really really really miss my watch. Oh the operation of my window I give a 6/10. The operation isn't smooth and it doesn't open to maximum unless you put elbow grease into it, also it squeaks. Just ok at best. read more

Our car was broken into in that decrepit pit of sadness that is barstow, and not only were the folks at Rich's able to fix it same day (NEW YEARS EVE!) but they fit us in that morning and at a reasonable cost. there was even some unforeseen damage from the jerk who broke in and they didn't adjust the price one bit, despite needing a bit more labor than initially anticipated. Other than not getting all the broken glass out, they did a good job. There was still a coffee cup full between the inside of the trunk (most of it), back speaker deck, battery vents, top of the back seat and under the front seat. I expected to find some, but not that much. read more
