It turned out to be a great referral. I had done a lot of research on my own as the sailboat had an unusual thru-hull configuration. Brian was thoughtful and respectful when working with me, even though I'm a girl and don't know boats. He actually complimented me on my research and said he learned something by working on this strange configuration. He's a straight-shooter, no BS, no attitude, no drama kinda guy. He replaced the old weird volcano thru-hulls including relocating some of them to more convenient locations. He did a swell job on the bottom paint. He was easy to work with. And his prices were fair and reasonable. If you have a weird situation or just need the usual bottom paint, definitely go talk to him. Another BIG perk is he has a space at the Port of Everett which is less per day than the Port's spaces -- that means that if you need to do something to the boat while it's out of the water you can utilize his scaffolding.

Beware of these folks! I ordered a Raider Voyager 2484 with a Honda BF250 a few years back, all…read morewent well enough, the boat was delivered on time and as ordered. I used the boat a few times and noticed cavitation on turns and in following seas. I examined the cavitation plate relationship to the bottom of the boat and it looked 4 inches to high, I took pictures and showed them to the service manager and sales staff, they dismissed it and said the installation was proper and pretty much said there is nothing they would do. I had trips planned and fishing to do so I used the boat as it was as under most conditions it was fine and performed well. The BF 250 will basically shut down as a self protection function if it senses over rev or cavitation. I had a qualified Honda service tech look at it the other day and he said the installation was not correct and it should have had a 30 inch lower unit not a 25. The modification will cost me $3800 but I am willing to pay it in order to have a safe boat in following seas. I suggest buying your boat elsewhere!

He almost ran into our neighbors boat with ours trying to dock and once everyone helped guide him in he couldn't walk. we have continually requested for the owner to call us regarding this matter and we have also requested on more than a couple occasions for an detailed item report for what services he has conducted and parts that we have been charged for todate. We still have no contact nor detailed billing report. We have written several checks out to Kevin but without the detailed item billing we have no way knowing if any of our money has actually went to the company onto our bill or not. No management nor owner has contacted us to date nor has contacted any of our witness'. We are very concerned and very upset with the service we have received to date. And due to the owner not acknowleging our request for consultation, we feel that this company is covering for it's employer. UPDATE: March 2013: we hired another marine mechanic this last weekend. He removed the wires, plugs, carborator, distributor cap, and roter cap ect... to find out that NOTHING had been replaced. Indicating that he outright stole from us and ran our boat to unoperatable condition.
