Fish and chips at Rick Steins is the way go. We arrived today at about 12.00 and decided to go for lunch. I decided to go for the haddock and chips my wife the two course meal @£16.95 a little more than my haddock, but she had choice of main and sweet. The drinks arrived in a few minutes, and our order taken. This arrived in a very short time. Both mains beautifully cooked with wedge of lemon and the most wonderful tarter sauce. There was plenty of chips, so many my wife was able to take some to go with her choice which had a salad rather than chips. For the sweet course she had a sunken chocolate cake. This was solid and very, very much chocolate. She loved it, but as she was struggling with this I assisted. Mmmmmm it was great. Staff were very attentive throughout even though it got really busy. Yes you can get it cheaper, but I don't believe that you can get it better. See you next visit. read more
