I never leave reviews, so this is saying a lot. My brand new car was rear ended a couple months after leaving the lot. Needless to say, I was very upset. I took it in to Rick's, where I was told it would be up to 3 weeks for repairs. Only 4 days later, I got a call that it was all ready to go! Not only did they make the rear of my car look brand new, but also washed the filthy outside and detailed the inside!! Insurance paid so I never saw a bill, but I am a very happy customer! Ricks auto body caused a barley damaged jeep to be totaled via my insurance company. Among many other things I saw on their estimate that the removal and re installation of the windshield would take two hours, anyone who owns a jeep would know this is complete bull. They also listed the cost of parts as WAY too high. Here's some parts I found on my estimate that it took me only a few seconds on google to find way better prices for. Windshield frame they said $500 USED I found $138 NEW Windshield hinges they say $192 I found new OEM for $46.99 Roll cage $1278.70 (not kidding) found new for $377 + $77 for pads, I'll be having a completely better aftermarket one FULLY INSTALLED for $700 Side mirror they list $75 used, i found $39 new. Fender flare they list one for $125 I found 4 for 189, one for much less. There are a lot more examples, but they are a little harder to find, I just wanted to give a few examples so you get the idea of how quick this garbage quote added up. They wanted to remove and re install parts of the jeep which were not at all damaged (not replace, just take off and put back on). in fact on the opposite side of the jeep where damage was. After relating this incident to my boss he said ricks had once given him an estimate for a small amount of damage then charged him over three times the actual estimate saying something vague about a sensor. I spoke with another industry professional who said ricks is under new ownership, some fellow not from Montana, (LA?) who does business in the typical big city style (all about money). I strongly advise if you have work to be done, you do it elsewhere. read more

My car was involved in a collision with an animal on the highway...I have a 2019 Ford Edge with less than 20,000 miles. I understand that with Covid-19 and the shortage of supplies it has made an impact on businesses but it should not impact customer service. I was told 4 different dates my car would be ready and each time they failed to deliver. Communication was sporadic if that and when calls were made the knowledge of the person calling was incomplete for they could not even answer basic questions. When expecting a call from them as they scheduled no call was ever received make me have to follow-up on my own. I even stopped by in.person to see if I could get some information and i was made to feel like I was theproblem/issue. I can't yet give a rating on how my car was repaired as I sit here now still waiting to hear from them...they have had my car for a month now...not sure how long it should take to fix my car but a whole month seems ridiculous. read more

Haven't been in for a car repair in 5 years....Went to Ricks, based on my insurance (USAA) recommendation even though it was not an insurance claim... Have NEVER been treated so well! Had my trusty Labrador Boo with me on both visits, and wasn't sure she'd leave with me. These are incredibly professional people in all respects. I've been to many body shops through my 70 years, but never been treated as well as I was at Rick's Auto Body! People are great, and the work done, was PERFECTION! This is my spot for now on. Rick's is a total rip off!! I accidentally hit someone's bumper and told them I will pay out of pocket. He went to Rick's and got an estimate. I went down paid for the parts, he scheduled the repairs and I went and paid the rest of the amount after he dropped it off. No additional damage was found but now they want an additional $189 because they claim the bumper is all of a sudden $167 increase in price!!!!! I checked when I paid to make sure the cost and if you order the parts when paid there should be no increase in cost but a $167 increase and hold the customers vehicle hostage is absolutely absurd!!! Over the years friends and I have dealt with body shops and never has there been a shop that increased parts prices after they started the job!!! The only increases had been for additional damages which I completely would have understood. Find a better and honest place to do business!!!! Update: Went to pay under protest and ended up paying $58. read more

Rick's Auto Body repaired my car after a minor accident. The entire process was smooth. The quote was fast, getting an appointment was easy and the work was done exactly on schedule. I can't see where the damage was and there were no surprises on the price. I was able to drop it off after hours with their key drop off. My only "complaint" would be it was difficult to get there before they closed to pick it up. It would be nice if they were open until 6 so I could go after work. Rick's Auto Body has been the worse car experience I have ever had and its not even done yet. Long story short DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. My car has been in for 3 full weeks. They ordered the wrong hood 3 different times then when the right one came in they let it sit there the whole day and didn't do anything with it; their excuse was we had other cars to get out the door today. When I asked how many had been in for 3 weeks they didn't give me an answer. Once they finally had the right hood, got it painted and on the car they said I needed a new airbag system and that it was going to take another 4-7 days. When I asked why they just now found out they said the car had to be put together for them to know. At this point this has been more then a significant road bump in my car world and I am now considering taking legal action as I am now likely to miss work and school because of their laziness. After reading this I hope that you do not take your car here as I would not want anyone to go through the situation I have been in for the past 3 weeks. read more

Based on my recent experience, I am very shocked at the other reviews here. Getting into an accident is never "fun or convenient". Between the rental car, body shop and injuries it can be a hassle. I was most nervous about the repairs to my vehicle because it just seems that I tend to have "bad luck" in this area. I have to tell you it was a very hassle free situation at Rick's. Jenni gave me a daily update on the repairs to my vehicle. I greatly appreciated that!! The repairs were performed to my "high" standards. Took my vehicle in for some work covered by insurance and had them repair a scratch and rock chips on the hood while they had it. The front office workers were knowledgable and friendly. Very shoddy work and customer service. I brought my car in to get a broken side window replaced and to fix an air leak on another window. They failed on both counts. They ordered the wrong part for the window wiht the air leak, so they just shot some sealant into it. It did not fix the problem. In the process of replacing the other window they broke a trim piece and would not own up to the problem. They have not responded to me at any level afterwards. I have disputed the credit card charge to see if that will get their attention. read more

They are dishonest and will charge you more in the end. They gave me a quote in the beginning and once they found out what my insurance company was giving me they changed their quote. I am also an out of towner and a disabled vet so they took advantage of that. I wish I had went with Blue Ribbon as my insurance company recommended but I had already committed to Rick's. USAA told me that they plan on not using this body shop in the future and since they didnt have a contract with them that they were unable to help me. Dewey is not to be trusted. I always loved the town of Missoula, MT and had a incident with a vehicle while driving to my next duty station back in 2002 and the Ford dealership warrantied some work for me even tho they didnt need to. They support the military. I will not let this bad company cast a shadow on this great town. Please feel free to message me with any questions about how they took advantage of me and my family. I tried to work it out with them and am consulting a lawyer but I dont wanna continue dealing with the stress they have caused me. I just dont want others to find themselves in the same situation.
