I had called around to several places and no one would help on such a short notice. Tyler didn't hesitate in saying he'd do his best to help me. After about 15 minutes they took my car in the garage. Two incredibly knowledgeable mechanics started working on it. They end up staying a bit past their closing time, apparently because they were helping me. I can't thank Ty and his crew enough. When everyone said "NO" Tyler said "yes he'd help me", and he never hesitated. I was entirely impressed by the mechanics who helped me. He is one of the most honest and hard working mechanics I have ever met. Each of them being the primary mechanic during their ownership. Towing a 18,000 lb RV over two mountain passes traveling from East Yellowstone to Mount Rushmore S.D. caused severe brake problems for our 2015 Ford F-350. Troy took it for a test drive and confirmed my fear that we had some serious brake issues and would remove and inspect all parts and call us later to inform us of any problems. He called later saying that the rotors, brake pads, & calipers had some serious problems and preferred that we return so he could show us and explain some options. I'm not very savvy when it comes to brakes but our friend that was traveling with us had some knowledge & experience of brakes and confirmed that the parts needed replacing. This was going to be a major brake job and we debated taking it to the Ford dealer in Rapid City but that would cause some delays and could be far more expensive than what Troy was quoting. Troy and his father were very sincere and informative in explaining all options and indicated the work would be completed before the end of the next day!! This is amazing considering that Troy did all the work on our truck and I know he had other repair jobs he was doing during this time. You definitely don't get this kind of service at any major dealer's repair facility! We hooked up our 42' fifth-wheel toyhauler the next morning and continued on our journey and haven't had any brake problems since.

I made the mistake of stopping here and politely asking the mechanic for a little help. In response, he got increasingly angry, said it would be too much setup for him, and emphatically told me that he would never let anyone borrow his tools, "never, never." I certainly did not expect free service, but I was surprised by the hostility over such a small request. It left a sour note on an otherwise good day.

By that time, it was almost 6pm, but when I called W&J, they answered the phone, and told me that they could have a mechanic look at my vehicle within about 20 minutes. True to their word, they fit me into their schedule, and I was back up and running by 7:30pm. The mechanics (two of them!) that worked on my vehicle were very friendly and professional. Although they advertise themselves as an 'oil change and tire repair' shop, they are extremely knowledgeable on general automotive repair. To top it all off, the bill was incredibly low; I can't believe they can stay in business with rates that affordable. If I lived anywhere near Custer, this company would be my primary mechanic shop.

They offered help with rides and even a lunch while we were stuck at the shop for two days with them. They fixed three different parts and made sure things were done in perfection. They were so busy with it being the 1st of July and they just kept pushing with smiling faces and a great attitude. Thank you Dylan and Eric and the two other gentlemen I didn't get the pleasure of meeting. I highly recommend this place if they have the space.
