Give these guys a Michelin star. Hands down the best Tom Kha soup whether you get it with chicken, juicy tofu, or succulent shrimp. Such flavor perfection that I'm spoiled now and can't eat it anywhere else. All of the curries are delightful. So is the pineapple fried rice. If they offer you the whole fried snapper on special, know that it's fresh and not fishy, lightly fried to perfection, served with amazing chili sauce, and cut in front of you for easy feasting. When available, their mango sticky rice is the perfect sweet end to an already delicious meal. Or their hot fried Thai donuts are a crowd favorite. Servers are outstanding and attentive, and their service approach is well organized. The establishment is small, casual, comfortable, and always busy with patrons - where the focus is on a great meal. Keeps us coming back and back again, and clearly we're not the only ones. I found out about this spot from New York Times list of the top 25 restaurants in Miami and I was not disappointed. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with FLAVOR. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls, Red curry with chicken, and Crab fried rice, and every dish was well-balanced and tasty. The portions were extremely generous. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a nice cozy, homey vibe. I stopped by on a weekday evening after discovering this hidden gem. It's easy to miss from the main road since both the parking and entrance are located in the back. The restaurant opens at 4:00 p.m., so there are no lunch specials. We arrived just a few minutes after opening and had our pick of seating. The dining room is on the smaller side, and given its high ratings, I'd recommend arriving early. Not long after we were seated, the tables started filling up quickly. Our server was friendly, attentive, and offered several excellent personal recommendations. To start, we ordered the vegetable spring rolls, which were delicious and came with five generously sized rolls. For my entrée, I chose the chicken Pad Thai. When I asked about adding spice, our server suggested ordering it on the side, which turned out to be the perfect recommendation. The Pad Thai arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious, and being able to adjust the spice level to my liking made the dish even better. My partner ordered the red curry, which arrived piping hot and was thoroughly enjoyed. Before leaving, we ordered the crab fried rice to go, and it was packed with noticeable chunks of crab. One thing worth mentioning is that the portions are very generous--large enough to share in many cases. Other than the somewhat challenging parking situation, I have no complaints. I'm updating my review based on my recent visit to Ricky Thai Bistro. I came again last night with my bestie and it was a perfect experience from start to finish. Service was exceptional. We were greeted and seated right away, and someone immediately came to provide menus and water. I love that they leave you with a cold bottle of water on the table! Our waiter came and checked in on us quickly thereafter and food came very quickly! He continued to check in with us intermittently and the bus person who gave the water and menus also asked if we needed any sauces to go as he was clearing our table. Very nice gentleman!! The food was delicious. Great taste and portion size. My only complaint on my Thai fried rice was that I felt it would have used more eggs as I didn't really notice any. But the flavor was definitely on point and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again. My friend was also very happy with her Pad Thai. Ricky's is decorated very clean and cute, and parking is available in the alley behind the business. I was surprised to find a Thai restaurant in North Miami, so I stopped by for dinner. Tiny spot, not many tables, no outdoor seating. I had a good feeling when there was a line outside just to sit. Once we were seated, our waiter recommended some dishes and told us about the specials. The food was good, flavorful, and fresh tasting. The only reason I don't give them a five star review is because the waiter did forget about us twice, we had to wave him down for containers and then again for the check. If your anywhere near Ricky Thai, you should stop by for a meal. This is the quintessential "hole in the wall" (not so much since they expanded) restaurant that serves AMAZING food. I had the pleasure of living close to RTB. For over 10 years I never, not once, was disappointed. Everything on the menu is packed with flavor. I recommend the Red Curry. My wife the Green Curry. However, I have sampled almost everything on the menu and I honestly cannot say that I ever had a meal that was less than stellar. Eat with confidence. read more

I was searching for a Thai restaurant on Yelp and came across Ricky Bistro. We decided to give it a shot and we were pleasantly surprised. We found parking right behind the restaurant near the back entrance. We were immediately greeted and seated by the server. Service was amazing, food was even better. I noticed multiple servers constantly scanning the restaurant to make sure customers are tended to. Ok now to the food. We had: Papaya salad ( my absolute favorite) I ordered medium spicy and it was the right amount of spice. Chicken wings - these came out of the kitchen piping hot Beef Pad see ew- I couldn't stop eating this. The flat wide noodles were so delicious Beef with broccoli and oyster sauce ( tastes so much better than it looks) the charred flavor of the broccoli was a home run. What I loved about the menu is that there's recommendations for spice level or choice of protein and beer pairing which was great! I think we found our new go-to Thai place. read more

The problem is that this place has parking around the back and it's super dusty due to construction, the front entrance doesn't have any parking, it's not a typical strip mall. If you love Thai food you need to visit this spot. Read about Ricky Thai Bistro reopening in the news and decided I had to come check out what they had to offer and I was not disappointed. It's casual spot with an unassuming store front but what awaits inside is some amazing food. The employees were friend and we were sat right away. I had the duck curry (never had it before) and WOW super crispy and very flavorful. My wife had the drunken noodles (one of her faves), this dish was good but the star of the show was definitely the duck curry. Apparently they're expanding to a larger size which I'm happy for them but I'm also a little bit afraid they may lose that beautiful quaint quality of small kind of hole in the wall out of the way secret paradise. I cannot believe it took me so long to finally come to this restaurant. I have been driving to Ft. Lauderdale to get good Thai food when all along this amazing restaurant was just so close to me. We were able to try 3 different dishes; Thai Spring Rolls, were small, crispy and delicious. Pad Kee Moo - Drunken Noodles with shrimp was so good it's going to be hard not to order this dish every time I am there. And finally the Massaman Curry with chicken was one of the best we ever had.
