On October 24, 2024, something happen to the engine and it was making weird noises, the vehicle was shaking, engine was smelling like rubber, engine light and couple other lights came on too. As I was driving it back home the vehicle shuts down for ten minutes and I turn it back on and we went straight home. I told everyone in the vehicle to get off because I thought the vehicle was going to blow up. As soon as I shut off the engine the fan was still on, I believe it was trying to cool down the engine. After it cool down, I turn the vehicle back on it still was shaking, making weird noises, and smelling like rubber. The next day Friday, October 25, 2024, I called Amigo Chevrolet and I let them know what happen to the new 2024 Traverse. They gave me AAA 1-800-number, so I called AAA, and they came and towed it back to Amigo. That evening I called Amigo and ask the Sales lady (Clara) that purchase the vehicle to us. I asked what's the update with our new traverse and she informs me that they only have one Service Tech., and he won't be back until Monday. I said "ok" I'll call back next week. The following week I called Amigo Chev. and I talked to (Preston) at the Service Department he informed me that they did a diagnosis test and said there was a dead cylinder one in the engine that was not producing the PSI, and they're going to do more diagnostic tests on it. I said "ok, I'll call back next week." The following week Monday, November 6, 2024, we went to Amigo. The sales lady (Clara) informed us that she was told to stay out of it and she told us to talk to (Preston) in the Service Department. We went to (Preston) and he informed us that his department has nothing to do with it and to go back to the Finance Department. We went back to the sale lady (Clara) and she went back to the Service Department and retrieved a 1 800 number to GMC company. We called the GMC company and explained what happened to our new 2024 Chev. Traverse and all we were told is they will inform their supervisor and they'll contact us within 3 to 4 business days. A week passed and no one from GMC returned our call back. On November 15, 2024, I called Sandia Lab. Federal Credit Union (Darlene) and I explained everything to them what had happened to our new vehicle. She informed us that her supervisor will contact us with in 3 to 4 business days. Same day I called GMC company and talked to(Karen) and asked what's the update on our case. She informed me that they closed our case due to unable to contact our home number. This person Karen reopened the case and will send all the information to her supervisor, and someone will contact me or my cousin within 3 or 4 business days. Today is Saturday, November 23, 2024, and have not heard from Sandia lab. Federal Credit Union or GMC company and not even Amigo Chevrolet. I know they're all open on Saturdays. This is ridiculous and Amigo's has bad customer service. We are not giving this company business no more and I will let people know out there. We deserve a brand-new vehicle and I'm not taking that 2024 traverse back because even though they fix it something might happen to the engine again. Maybe, we should get our old 2020 traverse back from Amigo's Chevrolet. Six or Seven years ago we purchase a Nissan impala from Amigo Chev., and we only had this vehicle for only one month because the engine locked up. I'm so crazy to come back to Amigo Chevrolet. Look at where we are now. I don't know what to do Maybe I should call KOAT channel in New Mexico hopefully they can help us. Service Review: The oil changes are good here, but the service department is a different story. I…read moredropped my truck off with a laundry list of issues, including a broken sunroof that they never repaired after waiting 7 weeks. To make matters worse, I picked up my truck with a completely dead battery.(which I happily paid them to for a new battery, yet my oil changes vehicle inspection said my battery was fine, weird?) I believe in building a relationship with my local dealership and paying for dealership pricing for services and oil changes. I informed them that I had the Ford Extended Service Plan and would only pay a $100 deductible. However, during my repairs, they stole over 20,000 of my FordPass points, even though I had already paid for the deductible. Alex, the Service Manager, was great in trying to address my concerns. However, the other advisor who stole my FordPass points and never mentioned the sunroof repair left a bad taste in my mouth. This is my last visit to this service department. I'll happily drive to Grants for future oil changes and service work. Alex, this isn't your fault, but the actions of the other advisors.

Did a cold call the Amigo asking for help, they told me to come in. They were able to determine the problem, but did not have the parts needed for the repair on hand. A tech in the service/parts department searched other dealership based on my direction of travel and found a shop that had the parts. Valerie, the parts manage gave me the name and part numbers I needed for the repair. Also, provided the address and telephone of the next dealership. I called the next dealership and all parts were waiting for me when I arrived. Lastly, one of the salesman offered us a place to sleep for the night if we were not able to get next location before dark. Two women traveling alone we could not have asked for more caring people.
