Despite the urgency of the situation, this attorney failed to act with any real sense of urgency or advocacy. It took months just to obtain a child support order, and even after it was ordered, there has been no meaningful effort to enforce payment. I have still not consistently received child support, aside from a few months my ex husband voluntarily paid himself. Communication throughout this process has been poor and unprofessional. Concerns were routinely dismissed, and I was often met with condescending behavior instead of guidance or solutions. At times, serious issues regarding my case were laughed off rather than handled professionally. For the amount of money charged and the amount of time that has passed, I expected competent representation, responsiveness, and actual progress. She sought out a plea bargain for me that back dated my credit for time served so I would get the credit for the year I had already been incarcerated. Come to find out that my plea agreement wasn't lawful or legal. So then after finding out that Oregon department of corrections wouldn't honor my plea agreement me and my family called and called to ask Anna Lasher to simply go to bat for me and get me the credit for time served that she, the prosecuting attorney, and judge all signed off on she blew me and my family off and wouldn't return our calls. Going through these people was a costly decision and the worst decision I've ever made because it cost me an entire year of my life that I will never get back. If you're considering hiring these people or Anna Lasher herself, just save your money because you'll end up needing it while you're in prison anyway. You would have a better chance at winning your case by representing yourself or even hiring someone from your nearest homeless encampment to represent you in court. Absolutely and completely incompetent at their jobs.

I heard good things about this firm from a friend of mine who had speeding tickets fought by them before. I heard stories of his sentences being greatly reduced and I was intrigued. Submissively, I paid them the $600 up front. I explained my case to Emily, who was my attorney. We agreed to attempt to reduce the mph caught from 102mph, to 99mph in hopes of reducing my fine (because it would be under 100mph) and expunge the risk of potential license suspension. - that was all I wanted. The court date came up, and Emily informed me that I didn't have to attend even though I was planning to. (I have never been to court before) Mid-court session, I find to have Emily texting me that the judge wasn't looking to budge on my case. She texted me asking "good things" or "responsible things" about me that she could tell the judge. I couldn't believe it.. She asked me if I left the group of friends that were with me as if that would change my behavior. SHE THEN ASKED ME IF I SOLD THE CAR. Smh The court date was postponed since I wasn't there. A few months later, we go back to court and I join her there. She was practically late. I spoke with the deputy who pulled me over, and her outside the courtroom before it began. She attempted to side hug me while talking to the deputy of "how much a good man" I am. I was honestly more annoyed of how the case went rather the result. I feel like I was just targeted as an easy client, and seen as childish and quick way to make money. If I knew this was how it was going to go, I would've made a better case myself. I'm not sure why I didn't make the report sooner. Partially because it takes too long, and too busy with my life to offer attention towards my past.
