Ridersville Cycle is the best place to buy a motorcycle, They don't just sell bikes, they sell fun. The owner Harold and his wife are an awesome team surrounded by an amazing staff. They work hard and it's not just because I say so but so says the line of people who travel hundreds of miles for the deal of the century. I personally rode my motorcycle 100 miles through rain just to get my bike and yes, I passed several motorcycle dealerships along the way. Ridersville Cycle has an incredible lineup of bikes to choose from. Just one month after buying my 2017 Kawasaki ZX14 dream bike, I brought my neighbor back for a bike of his own. The owner Harold is awesome. His down to earth, next door neighbor, never met a stranger personality made my bike purchase that much better. This was the best experience. Don't be fooled by other reviews, if you're not buying your 1st bike or next bike from Harold and Ridersville Cycle I can guarantee you're wasting time and money. Nobody has a better deal. don't go to this place, they are extremely rude, the old guy kept asked me about January 6th (the terrorist attack on the Capitol Building) and how I felt about it. When I told him, I don't have any comments, he looked at me funny, and rolled his eyes. First off OLD MAN, I'm here to buy a motorcycle, I'm not here for your extremist political beliefs. We just drove 3.5 hours to purchase an $8,600 2023 leftover KTM which, price wise, was why we came. It was at the end of the day and we were wrapping up the paperwork and ready to pay when I remembered it would be nice to buy a couple extra spark plugs. Harold, who apparently is the owner and only sales person, didnt introduce himself when he heard my request for plugs or whatever he heard, was triggered to verbally abuse me in front of my son...the person at the counter taking care of us...the parts girl and other customers. My mouth dropped open in total bewilderment and disbelief, and I asked, what are you talking about? Im trying to buy spark plugs I retorted. He got even more hostile and said the next time he sees his buyers is when they want a new bike? Go to Rocky Mountain if you want. All of us were still amazed and bewildered by his anger and idiotic comments that made no sence. He said he was venting and sorry but kept on going. I said you should show more respect for a customer when you walked into a conversation that you know nothing about. He still went on and said he can sell the bike to someone else. It was the most rediculouse and scary encounter with an owner of a showroom I have ever seen in my 60+ years on this planet. All the workers were amazed as well at what just happened. He finally walked away and as it turned out...they dont carry the spark plugs for the bike they sell and no air filters either. Did you think he would come back and sincerely appologize? maybe give a teeshirt out that every other dealer does? Or a hat? Piece of gum? Not a chance. Never will I recommend or come back to this horrible place again. read more

I had a very mixed experience, but overall it was positive because I knew exactly what I was going for and saved a lot of money by making the drive. If you know exactly what you're looking for, do not go anywhere else as they beat everyone's out-the-door pricing by thousands! If you're still shopping around, they do have a huge selection so you can see a lot of different options, but rest assured you're getting a fantastic deal. Harold (owner) & Debbie (his wife) treated me well when it came to the motorcycle purchase - both were friendly and professional. They had both the bike & paperwork ready to go upon my arrival so it didn't take long to be on my way. However, their customer service as a whole is definitely lacking - big time. 1) While minor things, my brand new bike was not wiped down and barely had 1 gallon of gas in it - my other bikes have always come spotless with a full tank of gas. 2) We wanted to find some new helmets to go with the new bike - they just gave us directions to that area of the building and when we got there, nobody was around to assist and the one guy that was there was too busy eating his lunch to help. So we left frustrated and without new helmets. 3) While I was there finishing up my purchase I saw at least 3 other customers come into the showroom, walk around, and leave without ever being offered any assistance. Even if you didn't want to be bothered while you shop around, all of the motorcycles have "Do Not Sit" signs on them so it's very off-putting. Again, if you know what want and you want the best price around, do not hesitate to go here. If you want more than just a sale, find another dealer. read more

This is a huge facility offering many brands, but from my view seem to focus on off road products. I as well as my wife and I have been there a few times, once for a new jacket, once for a new helmet and once for a new bike. Each time left empty handed with no offer for assistance from anyone there, just looks. I thought I would give them one last try today and schedule my bike (brand they don't sell) for an inspection. When I called them I was informed they do not do inspections. I followed with an email as I thought it was odd of such a large business does not do inspections and wanted to know if this was temporary. The response I got was all caps simply stating: "NO, WE WILL NOT BE DOING INSPECTIONS ANYTIME SOON". No signature, not even a sense of care or regret for the lack of service. How do places like this stay in business? If you are just looking for a bike maybe this place is for you. If motorcycling is a part of your life and you live each day to ride then go somewhere else, these guys seem to be in it for the wrong reasons. read more

Although my Polaris Slingshot was not purchased from Ridersville, Joe (in Service) -- and everyone else I met while there -- were extremely helpful and friendly as I had some recall work taken care of. While waiting, I got to leisurely browse through their showrooms (no sales pressure) and see their many offerings for on- and off-road as well as some on-water items. Went to this shop to look at a quad with an MSRP of $15,000+. The owner was my contact. He has the personality of a rock and is about as friendly as one too. Signs on all the bikes saying do not to sit on the bikes. Not that you could, they where packed in so tight all you could really even look at was the front or back. He didn't offer to pull it out so I could get a better look at it, explain any features of the bike or, God forbid let me sit on it. This place has no real desire to make a sale. If the service is poor before the sale I'm betting it will be non existant after the sale. Went to another dealer later in the day, i not only got to sit on the bike I got a demo ride. Guess I'll be purchacing something other than a Cam-Am. read more

I was by your shop last week. I was looking at Victory Visions..cash deal immediate delivery. The old guy on the Polaris side was so unfriendly, negative and hostile that I marched right up to Barnes and bought one on the spot. They were wonderful to deal with! I will never deal with and will actively negatively rate your Dealer to all my fellow riders and friends. In fact I am rating your dealer on the Internet anywhere I see it for the lousy sales and service. Just an awful experience, a wonder you ever sell a bike. read more

Its unfortunate that some people have had a negative experience here but for me it was quite the opposite. Rewind to the summer of 2011. I was in the market for an ATV, my first one. I finally settled on getting the 2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 750i. I searched high and low for a good price. I forget exactly how I came across Ridersville Cycles but I'm glad I did. Their price beat everyone else's by far. I didn't quite believe it at first so I called up and spoke to Harold. The man is a gentleman through and through. Over the course of a few conversations, he was very patient as I asked him question after question. I never got a sense that I was being rushed or pressured. I finally committed to a great deal. WAYYYY cheaper than I was quoted anywhere else for Kawasaki's top of the line ATV is that class. I expressed to Harold that I needed the quad by a certain time since I was traveling all the way from NY to pick it up and didn't want to drive all that way only to be told that it wasn't ready. Anyway, true to his word in every sense, the quad was polished and ready before I got there. Seamless paperwork transaction which only took minutes. They explained a few things to me, let me test ride it around the lot and they helped load it to the back of my pick up. Great folks, great experience. So much so, that fast forward to now, 2016 and I'm looking at getting another machine. I won't hesitate to make the trip all the way up from New York in order to give Harold my business. Unlike the others, we had a decent experience. I priced out a new Victory for a friend and they beat everyone's price by far. I had a friend buy from them a few years ago with a great experience. Told them we would be up there yesterday around 11 and when we got there, the bike was sitting outside and they were walking around it as we pulled in. We got everything squared away and they offered to help load it on the trailer. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was I asked regarding some aftermarket accessories. The person who was helping me wasn't real sure if/what they had in stock and wasn't authorized to make any deals when i wanted to know if he could match another price from the dealer I bought my accessories from. He told me to call back Monday to see if the owner will do anything. Not a big deal at all as we were overall very happy. read more

I am new to this area and being a loyal Polaris customer thought it was great to have a dealer close to me. Stopped in one day when my father was visiting and wished to trade in his motorcyle for a new Slingshot. He finally got the attention of an older man (presumed to be the owner) whom was very rude with him regarding the trade. He could have easily said "No thanks We are not doing trade-ins", instead his comment was, "sell your bike yourself on Craigslist and then I'll talk to you about a purchase. My father was just going to purchase the Slingshot outright but I advised him against it due to how rude the guy was. Fast forward a couple months, giving the dealer the benefit of the doubt, everyone has bad days, and I decided to give them a second chance. This time my wife was looking to upgrade to a larger bike. The same guy came out and listened to my wife decsribe the situation then replied, "what the hell would I want your bike for, I have hundreds to sell". Again in a rude and derogatory tone implying "how dare you come in here and ask such a question". Not appreciating the tone he took with my wife we turned right around and left the store. I now know why he has so many bikes to sell, because his rude, pompus attitude turns off all buyers as he literally chases them out of his dealership. I now am driving an hour away for my purchases and service. Not sure how this dealership is still in business. Even tried contacting Polaris directly to let them now how this establishment is killing the brand in this area. Absolutely appaulling behavior. I would highly advise not going here and seek out another dealer. You'll be much happier. I don't even care if they are priced lower. I will gladly pay a little more for simple respect and appreciation for my business. read more

Pathetic service. Bought a used bike from them, rode maybe 250 miles and it locked up. I take it back to let them take a look at it and come to find out they didn't put enough oil in the bike. It took them over a month just to tell me this. The owner is nothing but ignorant. They quote me 2700 to fix it when I paid 2800 for it. They are doing nothing to help on the cost to fix it ridersville is trash do not go there. read more

Stay away from this place!!! Customer service is beyond POOR! If I could have given less then one star I would have. I was assisted, or should I say not assisted, by the owner, Mr. Unger. This guy says he remembered me from past sales, I should note I have purchased 3, Brand New ATV's from Ridersville. I questioned him about doing a trade in of one of my used machines for a new model and also asked what model Polaris Ranger he thought would best suit my needs... He then in a abrasive tone states "I am not going to sell you what you need, I'll sell you what you want" , all the while still talking at me as if I were a 5 years old, he fires of several questions about my trade, I answer as best as I could at which time he again in a nasty tone tells me he wouldn't even think about excepting my trade. After this interaction he simple walks away from me to assist another customer, not once during this conversation did he answer any of my questions or help me in anyway... How is this man still in business? He not only lost a cash buyer, whom has been a repeat customer of both new machines and service but he gained someone whom is going to tell every person I come across to run from his business! Mr. Unger I can only hope you read this, you have turned me off so badly I wouldn't even consider entering your dealership to buy engine oil! In June, 2013, I purchased a $27,000 Can-Am Roadster, RT-Limited, the top of the Can-Am Roadster line, from Ridersville. An employee was assigned to "check me out" on the vehicle, as I was about to ride it home. In questioning him about it, a response was quite surprising - and should have given me an indication of what to expect - he told me he couldn't answer the question, because he'd never ridden a Spyder. In September, I had a maintenance issue that was indicative of a problem the 2013 RT had, and which was eventually resolved with a major recall. My parking brake cable needed to be replaced. I picked up the Spyder after the recall work, nine days after I dropped it off, and rode home. I set the parking brake in my garage - and it started to roll. In troubleshooting the issue, I discovered that the newly replaced parking brake cable had not been connected to the rear wheel - in fact, the entire assembly connects the parking brake cable to the rear brake was missing. I've never been back - anyplace where they leave parts off brakes will never touch my machine, again. In addition, they don't do state inspections. This is the first dealership in my 67 years of life, that I have ever dealt with that sold new vehicles without a state inspection being completed on them. read more

Excellent prices. Spent several thousand dollars and was treated like was a bother second rate service and if you need actual service it will be hit or miss. My experience 3 times before saying not worth my dime and will take time myself. They do a shit job and again act like they are doing you a favor. Purchased a new 2014 KTM 500 EXC from Ridersville as very few KTM dealerships are in the area. Wow! These guys really do have the worst customer service. So much for that warm West Virginia hospitality. Forgetting the fact that every customer should be valued equally, KTM is a premium brand priced WELL above comparable bikes. Immediately upon entering, they treat you like they're doing you a favor by selling to you. Once the deal was completed, you would think I would get a complete run-down on the bike, maintenance, etc... Ah, no... I was told the bike would be in the back parking lot. They got the cash, so the deal was complete by their estimate. Once I got home, I realized the stock brush guards were not on the bike. I called back to inquire and was immediately met with rudeness and defensiveness by a mechanic in their service center. I was transferred to sales where the the woman told me almost jokingly that their service guy isn't too friendly with customers. Sorry Ridersville, anyone who interacts with the customer is a representative of the company's business philosophy. I was then transferred to parts, where the parts guy admitted that "yeah, we never put those on and just throw them in a big box and give them to the customers". What does that even mean??? I bought a $9000 bike, which should imply that "yes, I want every single item that shipped from the factory". Again, very non-apologetic about the incident. I've gotten better customer service at Walmart by people who make far less and gain little from my satisfaction. You would be well served to not throw these guys your business, and try and find a shop that truly does value your support. read more
