For such a small shop, they have a nice representative selection of bikes. I drooled over their 2012 Heritage Softail Classic in Candy Orange/Beer Bottle colors, and their 2012 SuperGlide special edition. The staff here is friendly and outgoing. Wow, 2021 and you don't think a black female can shop here! Not once did they ask if they can assist , a customer in the store heard my conversation and said what are you looking for? Then proceed to say, no they don't have a good selection here. I'm still in awe that you wait until after 2 pm to place those signs outside upon my arrival. No way I would patronage such ignorance. I also wanted a second set of eyes to check all my work and inspect everything once in a while, so I dropped my bike off at Fairfax Cycles. The main service I requested was to replace the front fork and exchange the fork and brake oils. I bought the Ohlins fork from Partszilla and dropped it off at the shop. I was missing some other small parts needed, and they were able to order it for me. I had a budget I wanted to stick to, and they were able to work with me to meet my budget and the services I needed. They were very flexible. For the amount of work done on my bike, I'd say the price was fair. The place is very busy all year round, though. Please set your expectations. You'll likely have to wait to get serviced. You'll also need to pick up ASAP. I felt good about all the services performed on the bike. The installed Ohlins fork makes the bike so much better. Will I come back, a definite yes.

Bought a used 2016 Street twin here in 2020. Right out of the gate we had issues. I called foul…read moreafter paying their "out the door maintenance check', only to find out the bike's fluids had not been touched in years, and the bike was filthy. When I spoke with their service department, they agreed to take care of it for me.. no apology or anything about the extra time out of my week to get to and from their shop. I should have bailed right then and there. Fast forward a few years. Nothing but issues for a bike I took excellent care of and only put a grand total of 1000 miles on. I won't get into too many details here, but they kept the bike for a little over 3 months this last spring, " trying" to resolve an issue I was having with the bike struggling to start and not running correctly when it did start. After three months I complained to the owner about the absurd bill I got after his team of " professional Triumph techs" could not figure out anything and just started throwing random parts at it. To be clear, there were 3 error codes... After 90 days they didn't even mention any of those codes! The owner did right by me in terms of having them remove most of the fees they tacked on for their bull$!#@ work. It was super irritating that I was still out a couple hundred bucks for an intake snorkel (What the actual F?) and spark plugs (which I had also just replaced one day before leaving it with them) The real final coffin nail for me was that the final call from the service guy was unacceptable and infuriating: "Given enough time, we probably could figure it out, but we just don't have time to deal with your bike right now". I have never been more angry or disappointed by a business. I essentially just threw 10K+ into a fire. I will never purchase a bike here again and I will instruct everyone I encounter to avoid them for bike purchases and especially repairs.

I sent an inquiry via email and waited days without a response. I finally had to send a text inquiry to get a response. After being given a quote, I inquired if Twiggs still offered a military discount. I was then told because I am deployed overseas with the government, I cannot purchase a bike. No effort to work something out or offer suggestions on how to make it work. Just a flat no I can't purchase if "I" can't come by in person to handle the paperwork. Since I am deployed overseas I planned to pay cash and the government would come by, pick up the bike, and ship to my location. However since Twiggs has decided not to sell me a bike, I will take my money elsewhere. I will stop recommending Twiggs to everyone. Clearly they don't need my business.

Part of the reason I say this is because I know they couldn't have made a lot of money on this sale. Yet every single interaction was a pleasant surprise! When I called about the bike Mike answered all my questions in a straight forward manner. He quickly told me the out the door price, the history and condition of the KLR (even sent me a video of it) reconfirmed that it was ABS, the crash bars and racks were included, they had copies of the service records, only had 780 miles on it. He was patient during the process of me wiring MGMOTORSPORTS the payment. His communication was excellent. He also offered reasonable shipping from VA to OK or agreed to store it a couple weeks until I could pick it up. When it came time to pick it up Mike personally met me at a subway station and drove me to the shop in Sterling. The motorcycle was ready to go and his wife was great with all the paperwork ready. I watched and listened as they dealt with other customers and they were sincerely pleasant with everyone. When it was time to leave, Mike and an employee checked the fluids, tire pressure, ect, one last time in front of me. We shook hands, he had an employee lead me in a company truck out Sterling to the main road headed west so I wouldn't get lost. Recently, I asked JT Motorsports to supply and mount two motorcycle tires. I was surprised to find that the price of these tires was 35% higher than what I paid for the same brand and size two years ago. I attributed this increase to the rising cost of living in Maryland, as my last set was purchased during Sturgis Bike Week at J&P Cycles on a Sunday (Mid-Rally). However, when I received the (1st) invoice, I was stunned to find a charge of $360. I couldn't believe it and thought there must have been an error. Even the staff member seemed surprised. He double-checked the invoice and printed a revised bill of $288. Although this was a reduction, I was still taken aback by the amount, especially since I was expecting to pay closer to my last experience ($200). I reached out to several well-known motorcycle groups to gauge what others would expect to pay for such a service. Most members estimated the cost at around $40 to $80 per tire. In short, I was disappointed with the invoices received and paid. Unless there is an adjustment to their pricing structure, I will not be returning to JT Motorsports for future purchases. It's disappointing because I had hoped to have a nearby reliable establishment for my motorcycle needs.
