We LOVE Goddard Chandler after approaching 5 years between our 2 kids in their school and couldn't be more thankful for their attentive care. Every teacher has made a positive impression on our children over the years and they continue to show love to our oldest even after he has graduated. Our youngest is finishing up his last month and it will be a bittersweet goodbye. It's clean, secure, has impressive curriculum, and most importantly a beloved place by our child. Every day she looks forward to seeing her teachers and friends. I send my 2-year-old son to this school a couple of weeks ago. On his first day (he was there only for 3 hours) he comes back home with a Nurse maid's elbow (dislocated elbow). When I went to pick him up, he was crying but I thought he was upset as it was his first day of school. By the time I put him in the car seat, he started telling "Boo Boo" pointing towards his left elbow. I immediately took him to Urgent Care, and they popped the elbow right back in. When I contacted the school regarding this all they could say was it was a normal day and they don't know how it happened. It breaks my heart to think my 2-year-old was sitting in the classroom bearing all this pain and nobody helped or gave him any medical assistance. Either they know what happened and not telling us what really happened to my son at the school. Or they are so incompetent that they didn't notice that a child is hurt and in pain right in front of their eyes. One more thing to add, when I went to pick up my son the class teacher told me that she had sent me pictures of him when was there but I never received them. I had to call up the principal of the school (Darlene) to get pictures of my son and she send me one picture from some other kid's file in which his face is not seen. Somehow only my son's picture from the day is missing. I am so traumatized after this incident. I am not saying that this happens to every child who goes to this school. But it happened to my son so I will not recommend this school to anyone. read more

My son attended this school for 3.5 years and we were incredibly happy with the care and education he has received. The Goddard team is a welcoming group who immediately put you at ease. His teachers were involved and kept us updated on his progress. Mr. Todd, the director, was our first stop in the morning before we headed to class. He always had a kind word and a high five for my son. It helped establish a routine for him and ease him into his day. We really enjoyed the end of day updates where we receive pictures, videos and the curriculum focus for the day. The school is clean and inviting. There is a fantastic play area and they also provide two healthy snacks a day. I knew immediately after touring this facility and meeting with Mr. Todd that this was the right choice for my family and it continued to exceed my expectations during our time there. read more

It didn't take long for us to realize what a special place Goddard is. We received a tour and immediately fell in love with it, as it felt very much like a family environment. They are incredibly kind, supportive, and completely invested in the best interest of our son and our family. They are also a lot of fun - the atmosphere is upbeat, friendly and the kids have a great time! And the fun starts first thing in the morning! Mr. Todd, the owner, warmly greets each child and parent by name and has a genuine interest in the family's activities, plans and needs. At pick-up the teachers openly shared each day's events, milestones or any changes with me. And as our son grew older and transitioned through different classrooms it was comforting to see how he created a bond with his teachers and was cared for so deeply each step of the way. They also use an app that provides photos and updates during the day. It was really helpful to know what he ate for lunch, how long he napped and even what new song he learned. It was hard to be apart but when the photos came through my phone of him painting, playing on the slide or running through the water on splash day I immediately felt very close to him. They were also very supportive of my husband and I when we had a change in schedule or just needed some advice as first time parents. There was never a time when they were unable to accommodate a request for an additional day, or a change in the drop-off or pick-up time when I needed to work a little longer. When choosing a school for our son we looked for a place that was safe, secure, clean, and encompassed our same family values. We also specifically looked for a school that followed a play-based learning philosophy to encourage his natural creativity and curiosity. Goddard Chandler was the perfect fit for our family and I just can't say enough about Mr. Todd and his staff. We will truly miss being a part of this little community. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this school! I had a new baby, and a 20mo old, and was extremely sleep deprived, and my husband travels all weeK. i knew I needed some help. I did my homework and (interviewed) 3 private preschools... yes legit schools not a daycare. This school won hands down for my 20 mo old son. A few of the main perks that sold me: 1) the kid to teacher ratio is unheard of, 5 kids to 1 teacher with a max of 10 kids in the baby and toddler program! State standard allows way more kids per teacher ratio, but goddard is about quality not quantity! 2)the safety is outstanding. There's 2 locked doors you have to enter, one is a handprint I lock mechanism, it scans your hand to allow you to enter, plus a secret passcode. The school owner AND Miss darlene both have offices right at the entrance so no one can come in, or leAve without being seen. Very safe and secure. 3)the teachers need a degree, or working towards a degree to be an employee here, not just anyone that needs a "paycheck"!!! 4)a question I asked was the turnover rate, how many of the employees do they go through... like quit and hire etc. it's important to me to know the employees are happy! Mr Todd the owner said that about 80% of his staff had been there since day 1, 11 years ago! Woohoo! 5)this school does a monthly datenight for us parents! It's so great to look forward to! They also have so many cute parties for the kids for hoLidays etc. 6) I also get daily updates and pics every school day! I hope this helps! Now both of my kids attend, out 3yr old and our 2yo!!! What an amazing school! Our daughter attended this Goddard location from 1.5 yrs old until graduation at 4.5 yrs old. We have witnessed exceptional care and professionalism. The teachers are very experienced and actually care about your child! Our daughter developed superior progress in her skills all around. When we moved to Arizona in December 2017, The Goddard School of Chandler came highly recommended. After two weeks of solid research and visiting other preschools in the Gilbert/Chandler area, we just knew this place was it! We loved the professional and positive atmosphere and the genuine love these teachers have for their students. We loved it so much, we chose this school despite living on the other side of Gilbert at the time. The Tadpole app they use to keep the parents up to date on daily lessons and adventures (Jungle Jill came to show animals, Splash Fridays during summers, etc) is AMAZING! We get daily status reports on what our daughter is learning--with pictures of her doing them! Through these reports, I don't feel like I am missing out on all my daughter's milestones and adventures while I am at work. I still have no idea how they managed to take pictures of individual children and send the parents all that info every day! Fast forward almost 3 years, I am thrilled to say that our 5-year-old is about to attend kindergarten at Basha Elementary School fully prepared with various interests under her belt (she likes Karate, loves storytime and computers and can count in Spanish as well)! I almost wish I have another child just so that I could keep coming here! Sigh. We will miss this place! My daughter has been attending Goddard since she was 1 and I could not be happier. She enjoys her time there, has learned a lot socially and academically. The staff and teachers take the time to know your children and family, which has made me feel confident when I drop her off every day. I actually pulled her out of Goddard after my husband and I moved, out of convenience. What we found was she was not learning as much at another preschool so we brought her back. I love This school. My son has been attending for several months now and I couldn't be any happier with his progress. His teachers are on top of things and are very nurturing. I love that the school emails me with his daily activities so I know exactly what he learned and what he did in school. The school would also send pictures of my child while he's doing an activity. Additionally, the staff are on top of things when it comes to safety. I was called in one day to pick up my child as he was showing signs of an illness. They asked that i take him to the doctor to be seen and required a note from the doctor to make sure he's not contagious before he is allowed back. Thankfully my son was ok and he went back to school the next day. I am relieved to know that they take the children's safety seriously and try to safeguard the children's health by taking such precautions. Highly recommended. read more

Cannot speak highly enough of this school. We moved from a great daycare in California and were nervous, but they made the transition so smooth and by the time we left, we felt like family. It is a positive and bright environment from the moment you walk in. Had our son (2 3/4 years at enrollment) and daughter (5 months) at enrollment) enrolled while in temporary housing and couldn't have been more happy with the care they received. The teachers in the infant room were bubbly and nurturing while the teacher's in my son's room were equally so and helped get my lil guy potty trained. I loved seeing all the different activities the kids did as well as the artwork (even by the babies). It's a great community with smart and kind staff who are very communicative. I am long overdue for a review of Goddard. I really wish I knew about Yelp when I was looking for a daycare. We went through two other schools before we found Goddard two years ago. My son graduated their pre school class and my daughter has been coming here since she was a baby. The staff lead by their fearless leader Mr Todd is beyond top notch. How he knows every child's name and parents name is beyond me. However, every morning when we walk through the door we are greeted with a smile and a joke or two. The care they give my two year old daughter is amazing. The system they use to connect with the parents is great. Throughout the day we will get a picture or two and a full report via email at the end of the day. They do not provide breakfast or lunch but I prefer that. I like to know where my child's food comes from. They do provide healthy snacks a few times a day. I am 99.9% certain nothing comes out of a can. I challenge any parent to find another 5 star review of a day care program in this area. All local schools have some sort of mention of staff drama or high turnover of staff. As far as I know, Mr Todd and Ms Darlene are the ONLY ones to run this school. I highly suggest any parent who is looking for a safe and caring environment for their child try Goddard. As far as I am concerned, they were a God-sent to us. Thanks Goddard. We highly recommend Goddard School in Chandler. Our daughter was at Goddard for almost two years, now she's moving on to kindergarten. We will really miss everyone! The teachers, front office staff, and Mr. Todd are all amazing with no turnover in any of the main teachers the whole time we were there. They taught our daughter so much, and all the classrooms are light and bright with lots of fun and creative activities. The Goddard School - Chandler location is simply superb and is highly recommended. My son spent a few years of preschool and then Pre-K there, and is now equipped and ready to take on Kindergarten. And it's because of the caring teachers (Miss Melissa, Miss Heather, Miss Bella, Miss Maricel) and staff who always had my son's best interest at heart. They were his mentors and advocates, giving him the education and social skills to take into the world. The onsite owner, Mr. Todd, is really invested in every kid who goes to Goddard, and it shows. He knows every one of them by name and takes the time to connect and talk with them. As a parent, he played a supportive role, and was very responsive when any questions I had came up. One of the biggest selling points for me when it came to choosing The Goddard School of Chandler was their Tadpoles App. This app allowed me to easily see what time my son was dropped off/picked up and what he was learning daily in the classroom. Often times the teachers would post individual/group photos/videos of my son, which I really appreciated. As a single mom whose son comes from a split family, I was able to feel connected to him and keep tabs on him during my non-parenting days which was a huge bonus! The Goddard School of Chandler helped set my son up for success, especially when these younger years of child development are SO crucial, and I have the school to thank for that. read more

My daughter attended this school until recently. I have to say...this daycare/preschool has been invaluable to my daughter's development. She was excited to go to school every day! She loved her friends and her teachers. Goddard (Chandler) is amazing! As a mom, I want to provide and do the best I can for my child. I can say, choosing Goddard (Chandler) has been one of the best decisions I have made thus far as a mother. From the second I met Ms. Darlene, I knew Goddard (Chandler) was the right place! I then came back and met Ms. Hazel and Mr. Mario and filled out the application immediately. It is interesting I feel this way because I was terrified to put my daughter in a daycare. I am a first time mom. However, Goddard (Chandler) has made this such an amazing experience. It is simply the BEST. Instead of being filled with the stereotypical first day sadness, I was honestly filled with joy. The first day, we were greeted by Ms. Dolores. I LOVE her! She was amazing! The next day, I met Ms. Susie! AMAZING! She truly loves what she does. I then met Ms. Shannon who is so sweet. All 3 are teachers for my one classroom. Oh, and I do not want to forget about Mr. Todd (Owner). He is awesome! In addition to just having a team that is excited and appears to truly enjoy what they are doing, I also appreciate the knowledge. I trust my daughter with their team, not only because they are nice, they actually know what they are doing when it comes to kids. Also, I feel welcomed. I can say, this is probably one of the first places (in my life...generally speaking, not just when it comes to daycare) that I feel truly welcomed. I feel that they are just not taking my money. THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE than this school. 8 years ago my wife and I visited about 5 child care facilities in search of a place for our daughter to attend. Goddard was the second on our tour. We should have saved ourselves some time and stopped right there. At the end of our day - there was no doubt - this was the school for us. We have had 2 children - from infant to preschool go through their program. From the top down, The Goddard School is top notch. Mr. Todd is incredible and can tell you the name of every child (and parent) who walks through the door. Miss Darlene and her crew run the place with a quiet confidence. Each staff member - has a unique quality about them that is far beyond my ability to express. Every staff member has made a special impact on my children's life. My children are both better people for being there. My oldest now in 2nd Grade, still asks to visit her old teachers any chance she can. This is a special place. Every time you enter a room - you will get a smile. When you pick up your children, you will have a story about the day. THEY DO IT RIGHT HERE. They hire the right people, they share what is going on, they embrace every family, they make you and your kids feel special, they truly care about your child's education, and they value your time and relationship with them. Without hesitation I highly recommend the Goddard Schools Chandler. We will leave tomorrow for that last time, with tears in our eyes yet excited to start our next journey... My kids LOVED this place! Feels like you're seeing family - EVERYbody remembers your name and the name of every kid. I was just amazed that "Mr. Todd" really remembered us by name. One of my kiddos is very shy, but Mr. Todd was always wonderful to her, and after a couple months, she started giving him high-5's. Whenever we had a concern, it was addressed immediately. The teachers went out of their way to treat our children like they were the only one's there. They always give lots of feedback on how YOUR child did - not just generic comments, but always at least one specific detail. Can't say enough positive comments about them! I called this school to get some more info and was rudely put off by "Maria". Was not very friendly and seemed in a rush to hang up and said I could not come view the school without an appointment. I felt that was really weird since most schools allow drop ins to get more information about the school. I won't be going to this school for sure. read more

Wonderful, loving environment- my daughter has been here since opening day- we made the mistake of "trying" some other schools closer to our home and honestly could not find better and ended up right back where she began at 3 months old! The owner is fabulous and my daughter will not leave school without finding him to give him a hug! Always an open door to his office. He truly, genuinely cares about the kids and families and works very hard to make his school the best. And the director is also amazing, is a Mom, and understands. I've used other preschool/daycare facilities as well as a trusted in-home provider over the years, and recently switched my pre-K son to Goddard. It's been 4 months now and the difference Goddard has made in him is nothing short of amazing to me. My son is smart, but very busy and easily distracted. He LOVES school (even from the 1st day!) and even asks to go on his days off! His teacher is kind but firm and demands that they live up to their abilities and responsibilities. I've noticed he's more willing to share with his little brother, more willing to help clean-up his messes home, and will stay with us rather than running off (like he used to). I can't say enough about the quality of the staff. Within 2 weeks, my son (who had no interest at all in writing) was able to write his name and start to recognize letters by sight. If I had known about Goddard earlier, I would have started him here sooner. Also, as a side note, I asked a teacher friend of mine what her daughter was learning on her pre-K class and she didn't know. At Goddard, we are informed yearly, monthly, and daily regarding curriculum and simple homework assignments to help reinforce learning through repetition.
