Such bad patient care that the nurse director who admitted me in happen to be the one often times caring for me and she was horrible. To try to make nice she came to my room to sit and chat when all I wanted to do was sleep and rest. When I wasn't latching my baby right she didn't even know techniques to help me, she offered a nipple guard. They left me an incomplete breast pumping machine and no one helped me use it. I have never before in my life seen one before that. I got actual breastfeeding education from YouTube.

DO NOT GO HERE EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS UP ON IT! THERE ARE OTHER PLACES IN THE AREA!…read more My friend was denied care today because the ignorant receptionist assumed that what was wrong with her, without even looking, was a dermatologist-related issue. Also, she has Epilepsy. My friend conveyed she did not feel well, but the "receptionist" didn't want to listen. All she cared about was trying to get insurance from my friend, and then when she did and saw she had Medicare, suddenly she changed her tune and said that there was no doctor available who could help her. The receptionist told her that it was not a walk-in clinic (excuse me)? Like, wth?? My friend almost fainted. She was denied care.

Around 1:45 today I went into the Emergimed, and asked if I could see a doctor about a specific…read moreissue I was having with a cut I had on my knee. Also, I felt faint. After waiting about five minutes, a girl came to the window. I did not get names, but I can give a general description - she is about 30, I told her I'd like to see a doctor regarding that issue and that I was not feeling well. She informed me there was no Dermatologist on site. I informed her this was not a dermatology-related issue, but apparently she didn't care. She didn't even look at my leg. I told her I was not feeling well, and that's probably from this infection I had on my leg that I wanted a doctor to look at. She just looked at me with the deer caught in the headlights. Please keep in mind I did not feel well, It hurt to stand, and she's just staring at me. I said I'd been there before I said "isn't this an urgent care", to which she replied "no, this is a private doctor's office". I am completely baffled, and she was not being facetious. She asked for ID, which I gave her, and told me I hadn't been there in over 3 years, and I had to fill out a form, which I did, and then when she asked for insurance, she had me email my Medicare card. This girl said "oh..you have Medicare?" I said yes. She paused, and said "I don''t know if we take Medicare, and I don't know if the doctor can see you!!" I know damn well they take Medicare! Finally, she said "let me seeeee if a doctor is available to help" (which is weird, whereas she just finished telling me they are not an urgent care place, as people are in the waiting room, and the name of the place is Emergimed). She said "I'm sorry, we can't help you". I grabbed my license and left. Basically I was denied care. So much for the HIPPA laws. Guess the HippO doesn't know HippA.

When scheduling an…read moreappointment on the website you have to be there 24 hours in advance of the appointment time ON THE DOT, which is not specified anywhere. That means if you try to schedule an appointment at 9:58, you will be told there are no available appointments. You have to push the button to see available appointments at exactly 10am for a 10am appointment the next day, not a minute earlier or later. This means everyone who wants an appointment is competing to be the first person to hit the buttons once the appointment finally shows up. Appointments are also every thirty minutes, which means if you don't get the appointment you want, you now have to dedicate a day to trying over and over every thirty minutes. If you try to get an appointment by calling, it's really a shot in the dark. You might get a receptionist in a good mood who will schedule you in for a same-day visit, or you might get one of the many, many rude receptionists who will talk to you like you're a misbehaving child and do their very best to let you know they don't care about you or your problems. It's a roll of the dice! Maybe 1/5 possible receptionists are actually there to help people out, so the odds are always against you. On the good side, the doctors are decent once you finally get in.

I'm writing this review due to the fact that as a first time new patient visiting this office my…read moreexperience with the staff was a negative one. The healthcare provider's staff were unprofessional and ignorant when it came to implementing strategy or taking the appropriate steps in checking me in as a new patient. For instance, when complying with the guidelines provided by the healthcare provider personnel the staff member refused to respect my choice for reading my temperature with the infrared thermometer on my wrist. They refused and told me if I wanted to have my temperature read on that body part I had to show proof of my COVID vaccination card, which I found to be ridiculous, especially when I walked in taking the appropriate precautions wearing my mask, not denying for my temperature to be read. I believe, in order for the healthcare provider's staff members to improve their patient experience, they need to improve their communication skills and limit adverse events where patients as myself are asked to leave the office when nothing wrong was done on my behalf, all because the staff is not educated on taking the proper steps when checking in patients. if the staff were educated they would know that when reading with an infrared thermometer, the temperature can be taken on either the forehead and wrist as long as that body part of the surface is clean and dry as well as making sure that the thermometer is used from the ideal distance, and not directly on the skin surface in order for the temperature to correctly be read. In addition, from observation no where in the office did a notice read that the patient needs to provide proof of a vaccine card, or that is mandated to read your temperature on the forehead area of the body.
