The area to pick up was in an alley. Suddenly, a few police cars entered the alley to arrest a person. One police officer opened his door and damaged my oldest son's new car. My son waited there until the police were finished, and then the police officer asked what he was doing there. And my son replied he needed to file an accident report. The officer asked for my son's driver's license and information, and shortly returned with a stack of traffic citations. My son had the whole thing on the dash camera. TTO won the case, no points or court fees. Most recently, my oldest son received two traffic citations over two days in a row. He accidentally called another lawyer. In that case, he was issued nearly 500 dollars in court fees. Then he received a letter indicating if payment was not received within a few weeks, he would get a suspended driver's license, his registration and auto tag would be null and void too. I found out the lawyer was from another totally different firm, not TTO. My son was not properly informed about this by the lawyer he hired. He had no idea he had to pay court costs. I've used Unger & Kowitt, now known as The Ticket Wizard, several times over the past 20 years for…read moremoving violations. Recently, they were able to get two tickets dismissed -- (speeding and changing lanes without signaling). I was extremely pleased and impressed. While that's certainly not always the case, as it depends on several factors, they ALWAYS try their best to get a dismissal. In the past, when they were unable to get my ticket dismissed, I've had to pay court costs and fees, which is expensive -- (a few hundred dollars). Nobody likes that, but you retain them to make sure you get an adjudication withheld, which means no points on your license and higher insurance premiums. That's a far worse outcome. The points and ticket stay on your license for 3 years, or more, which is far more costly over time. Although I'm an attorney, and could represent myself, traffic tickets are not my area of expertise. Because of their many years of experience, they know the ins and outs of traffic tickets and they're familiar with the traffic court judges. There's no substitute for experience and familiarity with the system. Finally... I will add that their staff is very efficient, friendly and pleasant to deal with. When dealing with attorneys, I can sure you that's definitely not always the case.
