I loved to see that just because it is assisted living it wasn't taking away from residents still living their lives and having a nice apartment to feel like home. You can tell he genuinely cares about every single person here and has created an environment that feels safe, supportive, and real. The facility itself is immaculate--clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff are incredible: friendly, compassionate, empathetic, and just genuinely good people. You never feel judged here, only supported. The food is amazing, tonight we're having prime rib, and the kitchen is always fully stocked. I can't think of a single thing they don't have. The rooms are large, we have our own bathrooms/showers and there are art rooms, music rooms, game rooms, and activities going on all the time. It really feels like they've thought of everything to make you comfortable and engaged. I'm halfway through my 30 days, and I already feel so grateful that this place exists. From the moment he arrived, the Heartwood owners and staff welcomed him as part of their family. We observe that they treat every resident with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect, and it is obvious that they genuinely care about the people who live here. Knowing that he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for gives us tremendous peace of mind. Heartwood is always clean, attractive, and inviting. Residents have access to several comfortable TV lounges with cozy furniture where they can visit family, relax, socialize, enjoy their favorite programs or nap. The beautiful outdoor garden is another wonderful feature, providing a peaceful place to walk, enjoy nature, or simply sit and visit with friends and family. They also have an adjacent facility for more advanced memory care when our ward needs it. What impresses us most is the personal attention each resident receives.
