You can tell he genuinely cares about every single person here and has created an environment that feels safe, supportive, and real. The facility itself is immaculate--clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The staff are incredible: friendly, compassionate, empathetic, and just genuinely good people. You never feel judged here, only supported. The food is amazing, tonight we're having prime rib, and the kitchen is always fully stocked. I can't think of a single thing they don't have. The rooms are large, we have our own bathrooms/showers and there are art rooms, music rooms, game rooms, and activities going on all the time. It really feels like they've thought of everything to make you comfortable and engaged. I'm halfway through my 30 days, and I already feel so grateful that this place exists. It's making a real difference for me. If you're struggling with addiction or mental health and need help, I can't recommend Wisconsin Recovery Institute enough. This is a place where you can actually heal.

I loved to see that just because it is assisted living it wasn't taking away from residents still living their lives and having a nice apartment to feel like home. In fact, I loved that there wasn't a ton of staff around because I think that's why the vibe was so much more like a regular apartment. Knowing that she may live like she's independent but has an alert and someone is right there when she needs someone is a relief as well. Our mother took a precipitous drop in her health two weeks ago. We contacted the HCA office as one of the providers we would consider for her hospice care. When we met with Alyse to both interview her and get a feel for how the organization does business, we were unanimous that HCA was the care provider we wanted for our mother. The office and in person experience was excellent. As to communication and care, I cannot say enough about the professionalism, compassion and consideration of both Alyse and our caregiver, Melissa. In the midst of a very difficult time and circumstance, they both elevated the level beyond the expectations of our family. Sadly, our mother died shortly after care was provided, but it was gratifying to have stellar care during her last days. Thank you so much for helping us and lovingly serving our mother. However the current staff there are trained & educated about Dementia behaviors which helps so much to give compassionate care. Night and day better than the last 2 places he was at. Second, they treat their employee's terribly. I have never seen such a mess of management and HR. The director of the building is great but she only has so much power. The staff love the residents like their own family but there is not enough staff to take care of the residents like there should be. The residents pay good money (tons of money) to be taken care of 24/7, but that is sadly not happening. This company is losing all of their good employees who actually care because they are being treated like dogs. Management recently tried taking the residents juices away during lunch and supper. Thankfully the employees fought for the residents rights and this did not happen. The company is building brand new buildings in green bay but they do not have enough money to supply the residents that are already paying, with juice?!?!? That's backwards. Please think twice before either bringing your loved ones here or working here. Save yourself a headache and find somewhere else.

From the moment he arrived, the Heartwood owners and staff welcomed him as part of their family. We observe that they treat every resident with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect, and it is obvious that they genuinely care about the people who live here. Knowing that he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for gives us tremendous peace of mind. Heartwood is always clean, attractive, and inviting. Residents have access to several comfortable TV lounges with cozy furniture where they can visit family, relax, socialize, enjoy their favorite programs or nap. The beautiful outdoor garden is another wonderful feature, providing a peaceful place to walk, enjoy nature, or simply sit and visit with friends and family. They also have an adjacent facility for more advanced memory care when our ward needs it. What impresses us most is the personal attention each resident receives.
