After he came out and provided a quote, I agreed to the work and we scheduled a date for him to complete it. On that date, he messaged me requesting half of the quote as a deposit (he did disclose this at the time of the quote) and I paid him. Later that day, he reached back out to notify me that the hardware store did not have all the supplies needed and we would need to reschedule. After numerous attempts of trying to reschedule, he responded that he had a death in the family and would reach back out once the arrangements were taken care of. I gave him a couple of weeks before I reached back out. He has not responded since then (over 2 months) despite numerous attempts to reach him (texts, calls, messages on yelp, etc.). This seems to be a scam and I am out my deposit. Do not use Allen Handyman Services!
