In all they're great and caring people in a business that gets a bad reputation for asking to be paid for their services. The previous post ends with the suggestion to, "plan". I would also suggest that you prepare to pay for a funeral if that's what you want. The government, Veterans Administration, and the state of Texas do not pay for funerals. Just like buying a car or groceries, you have to guarantee payment. A promise in this day and age is not a guarantee. As for Mark being rude and disrespectful...see what kind of reception you receive from your local grocery store if you try and walk out without paying.

I just received a voice mail message saying that 'death certificates and remains were ready for…read morepick-up'. This message had nothing to do with me and the inept staff member instead of paying attention obviously mis-dialed. In my opinion they would be better served not leaving a voice mail over something relating to a death, but making sure they actually speak to the correct grieving party in person. This was very upsetting and disturbing as we had lost our son over 5 years ago, his first name was the same as the name they left on the voice mail. I called them to inform them of their mistake, I was talked over whilst trying to explain the situation, and the only reason I called was because somewhere, someone is grieving and I'm sure wants to know about their loved one.

The hospital send my husband to the wrong place after he passed and even though Tim, from Crawford and Bower, told me he would call me in the morning he called me as soon as my husbands body got to where it was supposed to be so I would be comfortable. From the moment I walked through the doors Tim and the other staff members were kind, gracious, and very understanding. No one pushed me to spend extra money, no one rushed me to make decisions, and most importantly everything came together in a beautiful service that fully honored my husbands wishes. Nothing about the situation with losing my husband was good but Crawford and Bower made the situation simpler and more bearable. I would give this business ten out of five stars for sure!

A friend of mine from…read morecopperas cove texas, notified me through facebook that he had died and was in the Craford Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove Texas, I called them 4 times and kept asking them if they had my brothers body in their funeral home in copperas cove Texas!!! They said they couldn't give me that information!!! Then finally after getting nasty with them, they confessed that his body was in their funeral home, well to make a long story short!!! They cremated his body without my consent, they never notified me that they were going to cremate him!!!!
