Very friendly and understanding people in my Family's time of need, and I could not be happier with my Grandparent's Headstone.

When my father died in October of this year, my cousin made most of the arrangements. We were my…read morefather's only family he was close to, and according to his wishes, we selected the simplest possible arrangements. For this reason and because another family member had been cremated through Riley years before, we thought this process would be dignified and relatively quick. It was not. It was a nightmare, and the funeral director does not seem to care at all, nor does the manager I contacted. It would take a long time to detail all that these people did wrong and all the ways they disrespected my father, my cousin, and myself, but I will just name a few in hopes of dissuading anyone from trusting this business and potentially experiencing the same thing we did. For one thing, the funeral director made inappropriate comments and was dishonest at least once to my face. The majority of my correspondence with her and her manager were unprofessional--they could not be bothered to check their punctuation and grammar before sending me a message. They not only checked the wrong place of death on my father's death certificate, but in fact wrote the name of some nursing home (he died in his home) in which he never stepped foot! We ordered a memorial thumbprint necklace for my cousin, and when it came in (probably a month after my dad passed away), the birth date on it was wrong! There were several other issues, but these few things alone were bad enough. When I reached out to the manager about these issues, he wasn't in the office, but emailed me a few days after I'd left him a message. I sent him a detailed email about all that had gone wrong, and then after I didn't hear back for OVER A WEEK, I sent a follow up. In yet another email that no one could be bothered to proofread, he offered apologies "for what you and your cousin experienced." He didn't take any responsibility, answer why so many mistakes had been made, offer to make it right in any way, or mention any plan at all for how to ensure other families in the future will not have to endure the same nonsense. I have been treated with more dignity and respect at a flea market or a shoe store or in a gas station! My cousin and I have been hurt by all of this nonsense. The people who we paid to help us through this, who should know how to be kind to grieving people, were utterly apathetic and unprofessional. These people were not worthy to speak my father's name, and I regret they were involved in putting his body to rest. I wish we'd gone somewhere else that would have had some compassion and respect.

This is a amazing place. The people are so caring and friendly and they don't bother you about…read morefinancing

The hospital send my husband to the wrong place after he passed and even though Tim, from Crawford and Bower, told me he would call me in the morning he called me as soon as my husbands body got to where it was supposed to be so I would be comfortable. From the moment I walked through the doors Tim and the other staff members were kind, gracious, and very understanding. No one pushed me to spend extra money, no one rushed me to make decisions, and most importantly everything came together in a beautiful service that fully honored my husbands wishes. Nothing about the situation with losing my husband was good but Crawford and Bower made the situation simpler and more bearable. I would give this business ten out of five stars for sure!
