There is a variety of things: - cookware and kitchen ceramics - garden art - paper decor and flowers - jewlery - clothing - there is even a small but cool little soccer shop that is separate business but located in the side/back of this shop. They do have an online site but nowhere near as much variety and items as they have in their magical store. I visit whenever I am in town and I love all the items I have collected. Which suckered me in immediately with its bright vibrant colors and welcoming atmosphere. The owner was very curious why I was snapping so many photos. With as little knowledge that I have of Gilroy, I noticed immediately there's so much potential for this shop. With more exposure and recognition within the Gilroy community, "Mexican arts and crafts" fanatics have the opportunity to dash in! I totally fell in loooove with Artemex! The cute souvenirs that I know are staples in Mexico are here!!... In Gilroy! How cool is that!?!!! So many hand-crafted items that are perfect for gifts! Though everything is totally overpriced, I appreciated the intricate details of the beaded necklace, cute Frida coin purse with a sturdy zipper, and a commemorative magnet that resembles a dragon to me. The magnet has another meaning to it to Spanish-speaking people but I wasn't able to gather the story and meaning of it. This is the spot if you're into a tourist-like experience miles away from actually being physically in a Spanish-speaking country. It's been a long week so walking around and making selections in this store helped ease my overloaded mind after midterms.

I have shopped other fine stores for years on the Peninsula and SF, but here is a shop that feels different - European - this place feels unique, esp in our area. The combination of new and antique wares, the flowers, and the artistry in the store design is breathtaking. Her store is quaint and a ton of fun! Being mixed race and part Mexican, a lot of the items I totally understood and enjoyed the humor. Just started following them on Instagram to see what her latest designs will be? The boutique is only open to the public on the weekends. You can still purchase items online and request special orders. To find the shop in town, it's located next to Dona Esther's, walk back and it's across from a local brewery. Not least because this is a small town, and pretty much everything is within walking distance. Thus even if the spot you find is down a ways, it still won't be an issue to walk here. This is a smaller, intimate gallery. While most of the art is created by the woman running the place, she does have some small collaborative efforts. The brooches, costume jewelry and skater art swag are in collaboration with other artists. All the art is latin styles and there are some simply epic star wars styled works. The Milagros style pieces are unique, and it goes without saying that the Dia de los Muertos is highly creative. There is also some pop art on premises-a handmade snarky chandelier, fantastically worked skateboards, serape flags (no really), a stranger things waffle painting, cactus planters, and well whatever the house artist is inspired to make. Pricing is at the artists discretion and will range all over the place, but significant creative pleasing originals can be had for less then a hundred bucks, and some of the smaller items go below ten, which is a total bargain for work that is both creative, modern and very well done. If you are so inclined, the artist has been known do commissioned pieces(such as a portrait) but that's something you'll have to work out with her. Overall it's a newer, smaller, and the most creative art shop along the main downtown drag.

Has been a local stop for our 4th grade students for the past 28 years when we bring them to Mission San Juan Bautista to make connections to our social studies unit. Can't wait to return to the downtown area again! Thank you for your gracious hospitality towards our students, their chaperones, and our teachers. Our students loved being able to buy a souvenir from your shop and have a long lasting memory of our day together.
