Horror story with Riley's!! *** DISCLAIMER. I REALIZE THESE ARE USED APPLIANCES WITH SOME RISK. THAT IS NOT MY ISSUE HERE**** I bought used appliances back in December 2021. They were initially delivered Dec 9th. I bought the appliances because I had a new tenant from out of state and she had been living in a hotel with a new job and basically had no furniture no appliances. Nothing to speak of. When I reached out to Riley's they were very helpful at getting me a decent not great price on the refrigerator, washer, and dryer. You can note the prices in my screenshot. The horror begins approximately 14 months later. THE WASHING MACHINE FAILS FEBRUARY 11, 2023 I call Riley's and they go to the house. Chris calls me and tells me they couldn't work on it that day because they need a special tool that they didn't have with them, and that tool is at the shop. He told me they would return the following day. That isn't what happened. They went back that day and picked up the washing machine, repaired it and delivered it back the next day without ever telling me anything. They charged me a pick up fee, a delivery fee, as well as parts and labor for a grand total of $255 on a used $320 machine that broke after one year! The only time I was informed of anything is when the bill came. Which I paid!!! I was not happy about it and let Teresa know. She told me Chris would call me that afternoon. He never called! THE STORY DOES NOT END HERE!! July 2023 the washer fails again, I call them up. They do go out for free, I will give them that, and tell me that it's going to be probably $400 to repair!!! Along with a pick up and delivery fee!! When I am speaking to Teresa on the phone she tells me it just isn't even worth it to fix it, I agree and tell her it wasn't worth it the last time in February. she replies yes it was. I responded with $255 to repair a $320 machine that is not worth it. THE BEST PART!!!! Teresa then tells me. I DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS!!! she hangs up She didn't need to convince me to try her business again or to convince me not to use it. It is a no brainer. I have purchased four appliances from Riley's in the last year. I purchased a washer and dryer first and paid $45 (I think) to have them delivered. It was worth it! It was a difficult job because of a small laundry room doorway. The owner was one of the two that delivered them and they were really nice about it and did a good job. They also moved the old washer outside for me. A few months later, I bought a nice electric range and refrigerator. All of the appliances were "like new" clean and have worked well. read more

I going to start by saying poor service and I was threatened and told that by leaving this company a review wasn't a good or wise idea. you shouldn't threaten your customers, that one is a no brainer. I bought a range there not even 2 hours ago. I needed to convert it from nature gas to LP. the store associate knew that, they even gave me the LP kit. they sold me a stove that had corroded screws in the burner caps so I cant even access the orifices to convert it. I called the store back and they wont take back the range because their associate dropped it while loading it into my car. All they could say was "whoops thought I had it" and that it should be okay. either the associate lied or the store did in order to keep my money but they claimed that their worker didn't drop it that it was my fault. read more

This business is crooked. A friend of mine paid hundreds of dollars for a washer and dryer. It was discovered, shortly after purchase, that the washing machine tub was rusted, and Riley's is doing absolutely nothing about it. Apparently, they do not thoroughly inspect used items they sell, nor do they make proper repairs to them before putting them up for sale. NOT a good place to buy... unless you like poor customer service - then this place is for you! I went to the store to buy a used gas stove. I explained that it would need to be converted for propane gas, they gave me the LP kit. Upon trying to remove the top caps we found out they were rusted into place. I called Riley's to let them know what had occurred. They were unwilling to stand behind the stove or give refund/or any assistance. Don't go to this establishment. They are unworthy. If you value your earned money this is not the PLACE to get good service honest, or integrity --this they are in act lacking read more

Their used appliance's are checked and the ones we bought, for our son and his wife,washer and dryer, have served them well for over 5 years now. We have used Riley's for repairs on our appliances as well and the service and price were excellent. Will call them anytime I need a repair. read more

I bought a Whirlpool washer dryer combo there in May for $700, I kept finding little chunks of what looked like metal in the washing machine, I thought it might be something that had been in my clothes so didn't get to concerned. In June the washer started not getting the clothes very dry, they were still real wet but the washer was spinning. Then it caught one of my tops in the agitator . We took the agitator off and when we did we found the problem, the tub was rusted around the base and about 1/4 of the shaft was rusted off and had duct tape covering part of it. This was suppose to be a machine that was checked out, obviously it was not. I started making calls to Rileys, he said he would come out and look. IT took 2 weeks to even get hold of them, then it took 4 calls to get him to come out over the span of 2 weeks. He told me he would be right out each time, then never showed up. A different excuse every time. He finally did show and said it would have to have the tub replaced. That was 4 weeks ago and after repeated calls I still do not have a tub. I was told it was hard to find, then that it was ordered but hadn't come in. I will never buy from him again or recommend anyone buy there as he does not stand behind what he sells. So rude! Terrible customer service! Unreliable! When we go in to talk about the problem we are having with our appliance, they cursed at us and told us to just bring the product back so we could have our money back, after they ignored us and talked to other employees for ten minutes. After explaining to a friend, they said it was unacceptable for their customer service and went in to talk to them and they were told to their face to "not get pissy". This is not a good place at all to do business with, bought a stove could not pick it up at the time, came back in a few days to pick it up and the owner said it wasn't ready,(Hmm) when I asked why not he stated the oven didn't work and he was still waiting on a part for it. I was not told at time of purchase that there was anything wrong with it. Owner was suppose to call me when he got it fixed. two weeks later I stopped in to see what was taking so long, now there is a element out on top of the stove, he has it ordered will be fixed the following week, I asked him if he was sure there was not a short in it or something else that was causing the elements to go out in it, he said no it will be alright, so I went ahead and sold my old stove thinking I was going to have one the coming week, came time to go get it, actually get a call from the owner asking if he could give me my money back on the stove because there is something else wrong with it and it would be too expensive to mess with fixing it, I told him I had already sold my stove thinking I was getting this one, let him talk me out of it, he then said that he had a fridge in that was like the one I was looking at, maybe I would want it and we could put the money towards that, should have learned my lesson on the stove, from time of purchase to him wanting to give me my money back was 4 weeks; I went in looked at the fridge, and l went ahead and bought it that Saturday, told him I would be in on the coming Monday to pick it up, if couldn't make it would call. Borrowed a friends truck to go pick it up on Monday afternoon, when I walked in the owner asked me what I was doing there, said I came in to pick up my fridge I had bought Saturday, he said it wasn't ready yet, he didn't have time to check it out, so he sold me a fridge he hadn't even checked out yet? Really! I don't live in town so it was not convenient for me to run in there anytime. He said he would deliver it at no charge, when did I want it, I said Friday, he would call me for directions. Friday came and gone no call, I finally called him the following week, he said that it was working fine when did I want it, I said last Friday(oh he forgot), told him I wanted it on the following Monday, it did come on Monday, BUT guess what!!! the freezer worked fine, but the fridge part didn't work, ARE YOU KIDDING ME, I called him the next day, he wanted me to give him a part number off of it and he would order it and have it fixed, I loaded the fridge up and took it back, I would not recommend this place to any one, he will take you for your money, he is not honest at all, buyers beware of this business. read more

Bought a washer and dryer from this company. They deliverd the same day, set up the set and made sure it worked before they left. Three (3) days later, the dryer quit working. When I asked them to come out to fix the dryer, which is under warranty, they told me it would cost $75 for them to come look at it. Without asking what the dryer was not doing, the automatically decided I had put the vent on wrong....no they did not put a vent on the dryer when they set it up. I have put many vents on dryers in the past and after putting this vent on, used the dryer for approximately 6 loads of clothes, and it worked fine. After I told them that, they said I could bring the dryer to them to look at. I have a warranty on this appliance for a reason, they should be responsible for coming to my home to look at the dryer and fixing it, considering I only had it 3 days when it quit! I will NEVER do business with this company again and will tell ALL my friends to stay away from there as well. read more
