I own 20 cars this shop will get my business first , The price was negotiable and they came threw , Bent rim in Orlando said the rim was not infixable but look and didn't need balancing after that's how good it was look at it. Needed a tire rim straightened, not to many places do that anymore. Found this place, reviews were not the best, have no idea why. From the minute I pulled up Saturday guy asked what I needed he gave me the price and was don't in 30min, $150 included putting on and rotating the other tire! Rim Master - Auto Repair Near Me - Tampa, Florida

My wheel had curb rash (hit a curb and scratched my wheel) and I wanted to get it repaired. I have a Honda accord touring v6 in immaculate condition so it bothered me that my wheel was less than perfect. I came across Rim Masters in Tampa who agreed to take me in a day. The reviews seemed good so I took a chance. Boy, that was a mistake! I get there promptly at my scheduled time of 930 on 10/ 21/23 and was greeted by someone who said that the repair person who takes care of that is working on a set of wheels and will be out soon. The female technician comes out 30 minutes later. She seemed knowledgeable and was informative so, I decided ok, their reviews are good, let's get this done. They had a young guy come by to take my wheel off. Instead of putting the jack by the tire, he placed it dead center of my car. I told him that doesn't seem right as I don't put my jack in that area when changing a tire. He said it's fine and proceeded to lift the car. I looked under the car and his jack was on the center frame of my car. It immediately started bending when he applied the jack to it. After removing the tire and placing the spare on it, he proceeded to let the car down. When he did this the middle of my exterior side rocker panel paint cracked. The other 4 workers came by and all immediately told him that he should have never placed the jack where he did. As the other employees are talking to me, he decides to light up some weed. As I am waiting for the wheel repair to be done, another employee starts smoking weed with a woman who has a baby on her hip sucking on a bottle. I was literally in another world! That makes 3 of the 5 employees in my short time there lighting up some weed. The wheel they did correct wasn't great- the nick is smoothed out but the shading of the repair is now a different color than the rest of the wheel. The technician blamed it on a different shading of clear coat that is needed. They did offer to pay for repainting my rocker panel via their autobody guy only but I told them I want a new rocker panel from Honda as it comes painted and clear coated. I even spoke to the auto body technician they use and he only wanted to paint the damage and not the whole rocker panel. I know this would have looked unprofessional if it was done that way. I also had a perfect rocker panel and wanted the same as a replacement. This damage was $800 (cost of a new rocker panel). My auto body shop wanted $600 to putty, sand, paint the sole rocker so I went with a new rocker panel as it was quicker. The frame under the car that was damaged needs a repair totaling $1200. Total damage was around $2000. Of course, they refused payment for their negligence and I had to get a lawyer involved. Case is going to small claims court. Bottom line - If you want anything done to your auto, avoid this place as most of the employees there are either stoned and/or incompetent. But, If you need some weed, this place may be just be for you! read more

When the Olin Mott tire store on Kennedy Blvd could not balance my wheels---I gave their store on N Florida Avenue a try, and they told me that until my crooked R front rim that had a huge pothole dent fixed my wheels were not balanceable! They referred me here and the guys at Rim Masters had the repair done in a few hours for $120. The savings off a new rim were huge and the tire giys at Olin got it all 'balanced'. read more

I scratched one of my rims , a new one is about 3-500$. It was on a Thursday night the rim was messed up, on a Friday afternoon I turned it in with in 2-3 days it's fixed and looks brand new. They did awesome job and I will recommend this place to anyone who needs their rims fixed read more

We needed a damaged rim fixed on a Saturday because our son is going out of town. My wife and I called numerous places but nobody could get it done. We finally spoke with Mike, the owner of Rim Masters. He said they could do it. We took the car in and met Dre. The parking lot was very crowded and it was a bit challenging to maneuver around. They were all really nice and helpful. We had some concerns after reading a couple of reviews. However, our experience was totally different and much better. Rim Masters did an excellent job. The repair looks better than the other (new) rims. They had to paint after grinding the damage, fixing the wheel on the bead and straightening it out. Excellent job! read more

This place is a perfect example of how you can get great service from a business that has been stuck with a few bad reviews. I had a rim for a 7 series BMW that had two good size cracks that we're causing air to leak out. Other places couldn't repair so I was looking at $800 for a replacement rim. So I went and spoke with the owner of Rim Masters and he was very upfront about how this is the type of damage that can be difficult to fix. He gave me a fair price so it was worth it to try rather than spending big on a replacement rim. I saw the welding work he did on it. This guy has skills. He made the rim airtight and used soapy water to show me there was no air escaping. I was also running on runflat tires for so long that it made the outer bead not hold air. He also fixed that. I know the few bad reviews must have been from people who had too much damage to repair. Rim repair is the type of thing that may or may not work. But when it works you save a tremendous amount of money. My cracks were pretty big and they've been airtight for over a week now. I would recommend this place for rim repair. read more

I took my rim in to get repaired after hitting a pothole going to work one morning they were very nice told us it would be about 2 hours they had it repaired in about a hour in a half took it home and I'm riding again they did a great job the price to get it fixed was less then what the quoted me I'm very happy and would go to them again and recommend them to anyone read more

Great experience! I had hit a curb and took a chunk out of my rim and tire. After pricing rims it looked like I was going to have to spend almost $1600 for a new rim and tire for my escalade. I was referred here by a specialty shop and mike was great. I texted him a pic, he quoted me a price (and didn't charge more then quote) right then. He even had a tire there and put on the repaired rim. It took a couple hours, so we dropped off the rim and picked it up the next day. The total was a fraction of what I would have spent. Very reasonable! The repairs were great and unless you know where the damage was, you wouldn't even notice. Very happy to post a 5 star review for Mike. Highly recommend. read more

Because my 1000 word complaint wouldn't fit, here's the abridged version. Took my rim in for repair on Dec 24th for common pothole damage. Paid 30.00 to repair the seal which failed and had to return the same day for the bend to be straightened. While attempting repair, they dropped my wheel on its face and scratched it completely. Employee stated he would take 20.00 off of 100.00 for mistake (insanity). Came to an agreement that I would take to Glenn's Repair and send an estimate which he agreed to pay. Once it was time to pay up (280.00), no response. Called and spoke to supposed manager at 2pm who said he would get back to me and he never did. Called 3 times and was sent to voicemail. I will be filing a formal complaint to make sure this never happens to anyone again. Unacceptable for any customer let alone a military member to deal with such shady business practices. My husband took a broken rim from my car there this week. Because their tire machine is broken they used vice grips to hold onto my rim in order to get the tire back on after the repair. There are now huge marks from the grips on my rim in two places and they refused to do anything to make it right. I will never take another thing to this shop, nor will I recommend them to anyone. read more

Rim Repair shop took on a job to repair small crack on the Alloy Rim (slow leaking tire) promising positive results. They gave me a receipt with a 30 day warranty. After coming home the tire was flat the next morning. (they put the tire inside out the first time around). Called the shop right away, went back, tire was re-applied, yet still leaking on arrival home. At this point slow leak transformed into 'fast' Went to Tire Plus they found a leak where repairs were attempted. Took it back to The Rim Shop...same story. At Costco Tire center, I have a written statement: "Wheel is leaking from attempted repair to crack in bead area..." I went back to the Rim Place and was confronted by an owner acting aggressive and intimidating... I am talking calmly and politely and "Mike" just blowing off steam on me for un-called for reason, and refusing any kind of service, refund or plain proper costumer service, Just pure unprofessionalism. Repair costs are only $110, but the shop rude response shocked me, plus I have to spend 400$ more for a new rim, as no one will touch the old one now. read more
